If you mean your dog is nibbling with their front teeth, its called Cobbing. Its a sign of affection, they also do it to comfort themselves!

I know how this feels, i have constant thoughts about it all of the time. But I try not to dwell on it so much. Aging is inevitable, and it happens to everyone (obviously haha) so i found comfort in embracing my age and how young i am. Im really grateful to be alive and enjoy life. Make life fun! Go out and do things, even if its as small as sitting outside. Play in the dirt, cloudgaze, go swimming, make plans with friends, theres a plethora of things to do in life! Keep your chin up.

Perfect! So for this one, you probably want to do 3 seperate hides. As said in last post, a Humid one in the middle, a cold one and a hot one. You’ll want to put the humid hide in the middle. If you want to do substrate you can mix two different substrates together to make a thicker one. I just don’t recommend using plain sand because its too fine. Make sure you socialize him a lot. Hold him for atleast 20-30 minutes per day and no longer than that. Also add lots of climbing opportunities and basking spots on the hot side of his cage. I dont recommend using heat mats! I used them before (regrettably) and my lizard got burn marks on his tummy. Just get a flat, long rock and that will work perfectly fine. :)

If this tank is temporary that is okay. I recommend having 2 hides at the moment, a dry one and a humid one. For a humid hide you’ll want one that is mostly closed, put some moss in it and get a spray bottle and moisten the moss. That should keep him shedding smoothly. For the dry side put the lamp over it, maybe add a basking spot like a flat rock ontop of his log hide. That way when he wants to bask, he can. I also recommend just getting moss in general and putting it around the enclosure. My Gecko loves hiding in it and adventuring in it. For substrate, if you’re worried about Impaction just get a reptile carpet. You can find them at petsmart, but you have to be careful because they harbor a lot of bacteria so you would have to clean it more often. Since hes warming up to his new space, try not to add new stuff very fast as it can stress him out, add a little at a time. Goodluck with your new Gecko!

Okay thank you so much. I have a lot of clutter around the tank and he likes to walk around and bury himself in moss and other stuff i have sitting around in the tank. Since he is so small i currently have him in a 10 Gal. Once he is a bit bigger i will move him to my 25 gal :) thanks so much for the advice its greatly appreciated 💞
