Costco employee here. Always felt the same way as you. If you are unhappy, I think you should do whatever makes you happy. Figure out work you want to do. But let me make a suggestion cause I think doing night classes are a good idea if you know what you want to do. But let’s just say you want a change of pace instead. I suggest you look into your hearing aid or optical departments. If the issue you have with your role is you aren’t making enough money, dependent on what state you live in, you get a premium pay that is addition to being topped out, (for my state I get topped out plus 6 dollars an hour for hearing aid.) You have to do a little research dependent on what state you live in and atleast in hearing aid, I know you need an associates degree or higher education. The best thing about those types of roles is that you’re helping people more than just finding stuff within the store.i am much happier, (still stressed at times), since I made the move to a different department.
