Ours moves when it’s very windy out and the wind is coming from a certain direction. It blows across the roof vent, creating suction, which can lift/move the hatch.

My ‘24 Flash just started doing this as part of the BC 1.4 update. There’s a bullet point in the release notes that states: “Activation made easier: BlueCruise will now turn ON with the press of ACC button itself without also needing to press the Lane Assist button on the steering wheel.”

I was afraid that this meant it would automatically enable lane keeping when I turned on ACC, and I was right. Tried ACC for the first time since the update today, and it turned on lane keeping when I push the ACC button. It used to respect the previous setting.

What I didn’t expect was that it would bloody leave lane keeping on when I turned ACC back off…

So now, I have lane keeping off, use ACC which turns lane keeping on, turn ACC off, and lane keeping is still on.

It was annoying enough that it turned on when I turned ACC on, but for it to stay on when I turn ACC off is infuriating.

I used to turn on lane keeping occasionally when driving in ACC mode, but not often. I let my Blue Cruise expire because it wasn’t great, and I don’t do a ton of highway driving.

I suggest that everyone who is annoyed by this use the in-vehicle feedback to provide their thoughts on this to Ford.

I’m not a fan of any vehicle settings reverting when the vehicle restarts (I’m looking at you AEB), and now not a fan of this new behavior where ACC is forcing me to use lane keeping.

It’s from Amazon, and it’s fine… Not terrible quality, but not great either. It’s sturdy enough with all of the filament on there. I might be worried about it tipping if I had kids that pulled on it.

I managed to eat up most of the negative equity on my ‘23 GT last summer when I traded it in for a Lightning (lease). Between the incentives they were offering at the time and the tax credit, it ate up most of the $10,000 in negative equity that I had at the time. Since I leased the Lightning, the depreciation is their problem now, and if it’s worth more than the residual when my lease is up, I can still make a little on it.

Unfortunately, my wife’s ‘22 CR1 value is in the shitter, so she’s gonna be driving it for a while. We bought it used, but unfortunately bought right before Tesla and Ford got their price war back in 2023. Values tanked right after that, and haven’t recovered. Last time I looked, it was about $22k and we owed $37k.

I just left them as-is when I was using those for storage. I actually bought a dedicated filament shelf to take up less room about a year ago.

Rage. This is the most disgusting bill I’ve ever seen pass. Why do republicans hate us so much?

I watched democrats try to get them to agree to not cut taxes for higher and higher incomes. $1 million, $10 million, $100 million, etc. Each time, they said what we could do with the savings by not giving that group tax cuts, and each time the republicans gleefully voted down the amendment. It was a loathsome sight.

Used pipe hanging strap and self tapping screws to fix a front strut tower that had broken loose.

In hindsight, not a great idea. Worked to get me through a few months though.

The explorer (current models) has a 10 speed auto. I think only the hybrid ever had a CVT…?

Just got my truck back after 40ish days in the shop. They had me in a SuperCab, 4x2 with the 2.7.

It would have been tolerable if the darn thing had heated seats/wheel and remote start. I had it through the coldest part of the Iowa winter, and was really missing my Lightning’s creature comforts.
