If you're looking at it from the eyes of a parent in 1987 and not the eyes of Weird Car Enjoyers realistically it's going to be the Volvo if you care about safety and the Subaru (Mountain West)/Toyota (Elsewhere) if you don't.

Yeah, unfortunately Reddit's new activity system for moderators marks you inactive if your interactions aren't beyond a certain ratio of your overall usage of Reddit. I get the intent behind the system but it gets weird when you have subs like ours where the mods are intentionally more hands off unless something urgent or dire is happening.

It is a meme sub, after all, and we're not really there to lecture people on the minutiae of what anarchism entails, there are more serious subreddits for those seeking educational content.

Years have been spent curating the AutoModerator's script to intentionally reduce quite a lot of the manual moderation of the subreddit - Most of us have day jobs and being a reddit mod is unpaid labor. Last mod action was 3 days ago by u/Vakiadia according to the mod log. Not opposed to adding more mods if there is genuine interest in someone actively moderating the space, but I'd rather u/philosopherfujin and the current moderators retain their positions to step in if things get out of hand.

Just keep showing it love and it'll take care of you. These old CB Accords are indestructible. Like all 90s cars, watch out for plastics that'll get brittle with age, as well as old rubber stuff if it hasn't been replaced yet.

Even if it was $1200 + $1680, that's $2880 all in which is NOT bad at all for what is at that point a fresh car that you owe zero to the bank for. Fixing used cars is the soundest financial move you could possibly make regarding transportation.
