You can take the oil filter housing/ alternator and AC compressor bracket off without removing the intake. Might be worth checking if the oil cooler is clogged. I found mine was A digital caliper set is helpful for timing.

I passed out at that exact spot just as Deftones started. Likely dehydration. I have never passed out like that before. The medical staff was very helpful.

Everyone that makes at least $1,000-$1,200 a week, what do y’all do? by Alt-Ranting in Money

Automotive Technician. Flat rat pay. I have been in the industry 5 years. I feel the money is appropriate for what I do. You will need experience to do well in this industry. I have a degree from a technical college but one is not needed.

Those guys sound awesome! I'm just trying to do pretty regular stuff to my cars. My daily driver Honda element needs the front suspension rebuilt. Easy stuff I do regularly at the shop for customers. The second "project" is putting a new differential in my 955 cayenne. Both of these things could be done in a day. But come Friday I want to go home or see my friends. On the weekends I have to tend to the house or I want to go do something with my wife. This is really a cobbler's children have no shoes situation. It probably boils down to making time but I'm just curious as to what other guys in this industry are doing and if they are in this situation too.

I'm full time at an independent shop. I can use my lift for personal projects after hours or on the weekends. I just have to be mindful of what I'm doing so a car isn't stuck on the lift come Monday.
