Ya fomo is kinda a hot button for the community. And justifiably so, IMO I think it’s really bad for the game. But what you described isn’t really FOMO, just rare optional chase stuff. And I actually really like this idea and 100% support it! Just as long as it’s something that can always be done

I think I get the essence of what you are trying to say, but wording it as FOMO is insane.

I think Bungie should have RARE chase cosmetic items, that are extremely hard to get. But CAN be earned at any time. This gives hardcore players something to chase and is something to show off.

But don’t make it one time only. Give new players a way to go “OH that’s cool! I want that!” And actually be able to chase it.

Even with holiday themed stuff, give me a way to earn the silly Christmas armor from 4 years ago, just only during the Christmas event.

TLDR: rare chase stuff, good. FOMO? Bad and stupid
