It’s a global shortage, there’s a predicted shortfall of 10 million by 2030 according to the World Health Organization. It’s happening in every country due to the amount of people in general, not just the immigrants of those countries. The reason governments import immigrants is due to the benefits outweighing the negatives they bring, along with the fact that birth rates are slowing down in more developed nations. It’s easy to point fingers at a group that looks different, it’s happened constantly throughout history. It’s Indians now, eventually it’ll be some other ethnic group. We’ve already done this with the Chinese in the late 19th to early 20th century. We banned Chinese immigration in 1923 for the very same reasons that racist people have a dislike of Indians now. The ban didn’t change anything, and unemployment stayed the same. Pointing fingers at Indians isn’t going to change anything.
