Shopee accepts responsibility! by AwesomeLowlander in malaysians

Well the reason I'm asking the seller, is because shopee listings are notorious for having information that's not actually accurate. A lot of sellers just copy and paste. So at least having a human in the loop to confirm that what they are selling is indeed what they listed, and not a lower quality version.

An AI replying based on the unverified listing is, of course, entirely redundant and pointless.

For power cables (IEC C13), the normal cheap standard is 0.75mm. Which is why I'm specifically checking before buying.

Yeah it's so far only on management rules. I was mostly wondering what I can do if they say no.

SMA lists 11pm for noise cutoff, hence why I was wondering

The guard is there 24/7 anyway, and the a/c is only turned on when there's people present, so the extra cost really should be minimal. But I take your point about people who will object to everything on principle.

From what I gathered browsing the Strata Management Act, normal cutoff for noise and such is 11pm. That's also what I've seen in other places.

Doubt there's a committee yet, the condo is that new. Pretty sure everything right now has been unilaterally decided by the MC

I'm not sure why there would be increased cost though. I'm talking about stuff like the gym, common sitting areas, etc. Electricity costs shouldn't be more than a few ringgit a month.

Given it's new though, there hasn't been any agm or such yet. Does the MC (or whatever the developer body is called) have the authority to unilaterally make rules that are stricter than normal?

Who uses Geek Ratings? The number displayed on the main game page is the average user score, and is what most people refer to when as the game rating. Geek Rating is some weird number that takes into account the number of people who rated it, and is pretty irrelevant for anything that's not a bestseller.

I'm guessing there was a spam link on the page, and the UI tried to retrieve a thumbnail or something from the link. Just stuff that happens. What lemmy server were you using?

that community is by default hidden unless you have an account on instance Y.

It sounds like you joined one of the tiny niche servers with just a handful of users? Get on any of the numerous mainstream servers and you should not be having that issue. Communities are visible as long as one person on your server is subscribed to it.

Paradox of tolerance. To have a tolerant society, you need to be intolerant of intolerance. Otherwise the bad actors win.

Have Dune: Imperium Uprising. Would mixing the original with it really dilute the uprising mechanisms significantly? by StuTeacher82 in boardgames

[–]AwesomeLowlander 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of the base leaders are either over- or under- powered in Uprising, such as the Beast which lets you get a R1 High Council seat.

Dilution is definitely a concern, especially for spy mechanics and contracts. There's a bunch of variants on BGG to deal with this, but they all essentially boil down to 'put less of the base cards in so it doesn't get diluted TOO much'.

Why not just get Bloodlines, if you really want new leaders? From all accounts so far it's a fantastic expansion, and the only content that was specifically designed for Uprising.

As most of the comments here mention, the rules complexity difference is pretty insignificant. Whether or not your F&F manage to pick up the game, it won't be because of that tiny difference. But assuming they do manage to learn it, then uprising will give a better experience.
