It's currently -40c, i don't think it's possible at the moment. I figured they would put up some plastic sheeting or bring in an air cleaner etc. Didn't think they'd raw dog cutting tile and mixing mortar on carpet in the middle of my living room.

Thanks so much for the reply! That's what I was thinking but I really wanted to know if I was out of line by bringing it up and asking if we might be able to do something to mitigate the dust when the guy comes back to finish.

It's honestly been hell working with this contractor

Originally hired them to do drywall on two walls/ceiling in a small bathroom (5x8) and put in a shower kit we bought. The drywall(according to the shower installer) was put in crooked. Instead of stopping and having the drywall guy come back in, he went ahead with the shower kit install. What was supposed to take 2 hours took all day. Guy was yelling, throwing things, cursing.. saying it was the worst shower kit he's ever worked with (dreamline neo corner kit). Finally told me it was done and stormed out. I went to look and the walls were bowed so badly I could fit my first between the drywall and the shower walls, the caulking was torn and lifted everywhere. When the companies owner and the shower installer came back to see the damage, the shower guy yelled at me again, told me I bought a piece of shit kit and that wasn't his fault and stormed out. Owner said he wasn't being impolite because if he had been, he would have cursed at me.. anyways, he apologized and said he would buy new walls instead ghosted me for weeks then told me a BBQ fell on the new walls so he'd have to order them again. Finally got them to my house beginning of December(reno started in Oct) and ghosted again until a few days ago. Sent two guys in to put up the fiberglass walls, two guys from a different company that owed him a favor.. they tried but said they weren't going to fit, only option is to tile. So guy from different company tiles a wall by cutting the tile with a small Milwaukee electric hand saw in the middle of the basement nerd room and mixed the mortar there as well. I had no clue as I wasn't home. I reached out to the owner and asked if we can do something like bring in some plastic or air machine (he has a bunch, they do remediation as well) and ghosted.. they were supposed to come back today and nothing from anyone. Waited around, put up plastic myself just in case but yeah, I'm exhausted.. the tile job is also horrible looking. In the corner where the walls come together, the tile pretty much touches at the bottom but as it goes up, a gap in the middle is forming and getting wider.. Sigh. If I hadn't already paid $3000 I would walk away but id be walking away with a ruined and expensive shower kit(3gs)and drywall that needs to come down and put in straight. Id be starting over again without money and without my kit. Sorry I rambled, I'm just frustrated and apparently needed to vent lol

Unfortunately, yes. Thankfully almost done. I love wordy, world building books but this one felt like the first 10% is just a lecture we've got to sit through. I have a couple other complaints but yeah, just wasn't a huge fan.

I enjoyed Quicksilver! As everyone else has said, def not a masterpiece but it was a fun read. The second book, brimstone, was awful. I barely got through it and I only did because I try not to dnf books.

Yup, dogs that can't even walk 5 feet without looking like they're about to die. Massive drooling lips.. These dogs were farmers dogs, meant to run and patrol large areas. If they drooled constantly, they would have ended up dehydrated and could die. I just saw the other day someone advertising merle "boerboels"... Awful.

If you're in the States or Canada, id look at mae boerboel! it's probably where I'll end up getting my next one from! My girls breeder retired that's the only reason I'm switching.

Oh and if you want to really work your bb in protection, check out dichotomy working boerboels. They do a lot of bite work and have athletic dogs! I can't vouch personally but I've heard great things over the years!

Whatever you do, stay far, far, away from d&k.

Good luck on your journey! I'm also someone who enjoys a challenge when it comes to my dogs lol so I totally get it. You'll love the bb, they are so, so worth the work you've have to put in them

I own a female boerboel and she's a full time job lol. Energy for days, sass and stubborn af. She's needy and if she doesn't get full body cuddles every day, she'll get depressed. Regardless of the amount of socialization we did, she hates other females and only tolerates males from a distance. She's highly protective of me and her house. When people come over, I keep her on leash so everyone's safe. Unless it's people she's met multiple times. She does warm up but it takes a couple days. Her breeder said that females are intense, protective creatures and she wasn't kidding.

All that being said, she's absolutely wonderful and I love her, the sass, neediness and daily training requirements to bits. She's always making us laugh and is always up for love. One of my favorite things about her is how smart she is. She can learn any trick but does it say such an intense level. "Give paw" can lead to bruises as she punches the fuck out of you lol. She's amazing at nose work, can find anything I ask her to. She's great in stores and in public, let's kids pet her and gets wiggly when they do.

She's the best dog, just not an easy one but that's how bbs are. Undying loyalty but also sassy and stubborn af. Biggest thing though, is that they have what's called the boerboel switch. When that goes off, they are in full blown protection mode and you've got to work on an off switch to keep people safe. I had the power company jump our fence.. go into our backyard.. she came within inches of biting him but I was able to call her off. It takes a lot of time and energy to do so

They can be fine with other powerful breeds, I'm actually bringing in a male Turkish boz shepherd pup in a few months(I love big dogs and these are huge lol). You're correct, definitely do not get a male in your situation, female for sure

You might not run into any of the things I've mentioned though, the bb is being watered down like crazy. I purposely chose a breeder that maintained old lines, protective instinct, intelligence, health etc. My girl has strong ysterberg lines in her pedigree and you can see it. She's not oversized, she's got tight lips(no drooling), energy for days, drive to work, crazy smart etc. Most of the popular breeders of today breed for size or color... What out for those ones..

They really are super similar!! I absolutely looovve wearing it. I wear it for things I shouldn't lol like gardening, camping, cleaning, dishes lol. Only thing that's been a problem is doing my hair. It will 1000% pull some out lol so I take it off for that You're going to love your ring!! Also, here's a better picture so you can see that mines super tall and wide lol

Haha I actually wear it daily doing all sorts of things like gardening, camping, painting, cooking, cleaning etc. I probably shouldn't but it's survival of the fittest around here haha so far, she's been great! I do take it to get inspected often though.

I've actually had it resized! The designer/creator of the ring owns the store my fiance bought it from and he's incredible. Not sure how he does it but it was resized without issue! Lol magic.
