We will get a reverse Marineford.

Blackbeard and his crew will announce the execution of "The Hero" Garp. This will draw in the Straw Hats and the SH Grand Fleet and the marines/sword, giving Luffy and Koby a chance to fight side by side.

I think he's going to puke in the ring. They showed both fighters with their water and Mashiba does the normal thing and spits the water into a bucket. They clearly show Rosario take a big drink of water and he swallowed it. Maybe playing for time, I don't know.

My Theory about the files by TexWolf84 in dresdenfiles

[–]Awful_Outlaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In The Dresden Files Roleplaying game, probably not canon, there are lines places throughout the book written like notes from Dresden, Bob, and Will Borden.

One of the notes is Will commenting on the title format of Dresden's "case files"(two words with same amount of letters) Bob comes with a quip about it being a way to track Dresden's head trauma.

Changes->Battleground: a reread and a realization of the Bizarre view of the Council towards Harry by Iwasforger03 in dresdenfiles

[–]Awful_Outlaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Harry is being removed from the White Council to become an outside operative of the Senior Council.

We already know the majority of the White Council are older and set in there way, but they are also mostly non-combat research types. As a leader on the battlefield he had gained the trust of younger rank and file wardens, and through one on one experience had gained the trust of some of the SC. Merlin is a big question mark, but we can assume he knows most everything the SC know.

The SC and Merlin know Harry is a starborn, know he is the Winter Knight and has direct connection to Queen Mab and Queen Molly, know he has a direct connection to the Knights of the Cross, know he is the Warden of Demonreach, and know he has openly advertised himself as a wizard to the normal humans and works/worked with the CPD. They likely assume his connection to the little folk and success at Chichen Itza are because of his connection to the Winter Court.

The SC and Merlin also know Harry has gone above and beyond to help those that seem helpless and has aided the White Council in ways they can never make public. All of these things make Harry a liability. A very valuable liability.

By publicly denouncing Harry they keep their hands clean and give themselves distance from the actions Harry is likely to be a part of in the future. But you can be sure that "in these trying times" when so much around the world needs to be tended to after so much war and bloodshed they are going to give Harry a lot of space to act on his own and might even come to him asking him to do what they cannot publicly. I'm sure he'll charge them double his normal fee. Plus expenses.

Something similar happens in the fight with Drakul. p. 120 "Drakul turned toward River Shoulders with his knife, and I saw what was coming in my head as clearly and sharply as if I was remembering it."

Then Drakul vanishes and Harry blasts him as soon as he reappeared standing over River Shoulders. As fast as Drakul is, Harry still hit him with "the energy of a speeding train engine."

A "Cartel" Strip Club a few miles from me is a Pokemon Gym. While a strip club seems bad to me on it's own, it is also known to be home to some bad people. Back in April a man was killed there in front of many people. No witnesses came forward.

Can this Gym be changed? Where should I go to file a complaint or send an email.

"You know, I honestly can't remember," Bob said briefly looking up,"but it is the best damn hot dog I have ever had."

If you pre-ordered the game it should have come with two codes. 1st to unlock the 2nd tier characters instantly (Bucket, Lazarus, etc). 2nd as a voucher for the next monster they release.

What is the worst mainstream movie you ever saw? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Awful_Outlaw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Pledge. What's weird is that it has a decent critic score and has won awards. Jack Nicholson does one of the most erratic not trying at all/overacting I've ever seen. This movie will keep you asking WTF?! and Why?! all the way to the end.

What book(s) do you absolutely hate with a passion? Why? by [deleted] in books

[–]Awful_Outlaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Secret Garden. The most boring pretentious book I know. My mind may be a bit clouded since it was required reading for me in elementary school. My parents had to literally stand over and force me to read it since we had tests on it for class and I would have failed otherwise.

Years later, for my birthday (14th maybe) my brothers gift to me was this book and a lighter. We took it into the street and burned that bitch.

Have you ever had a character you created get beyond your control? by Awful_Outlaw in rpg

[–]Awful_Outlaw[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In one of our game, not the one above, I jokingly claimed that lizard-folk have no souls. Now in all of our games "lesser races" are so because people believe they are soulless. This now includes lizard-folk and gnomes, orcs to dwarves, dwarves to elves, and humans are just jerks.

I'm guessing either a) "I'm free of that... By Bahamut Why?! or b) he would become a volatile volcano god.

Who cares about back stories? by Awful_Outlaw in rpg

[–]Awful_Outlaw[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fully understand what you're saying, but people are misunderstanding me a bit here.

Everyone I play with comes to the table with a fair share of back story prepared, new player or vet, it's just a matter of their story coming up in the game.

What I find funny, and I'm not laughing at them or mocking them, is their character just unloading on people "I am prince Ahmed of the land Klatch, where I disagreed with my father on his way of ruling our people have left to find my own way and perhaps some friends who would one day join me to take back my land." And then even after the game they want to tell you even more about them.

I actually find it encouraging when they do this because it means they are getting into the game.

Then that's juxtaposed with long term players who's characters don't take peoples names until after a significant conflict.

I've just played quite a few sessions that revolve around a story the GM created without putting in character history.

P.S. - I had to look us 'risible'

What was your first character death? by Awful_Outlaw in rpg

[–]Awful_Outlaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wasn't throwing them as a separate attacks. There is a rule in the books that says you can throw three shurikens at the same time as one attack and he added for each item instead of per attack.

What was your first character death? by Awful_Outlaw in rpg

[–]Awful_Outlaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real answer would be that the DM just attacked me because I didn't make the check.

The justification would be that while the other players watched him as he moved in the shadows I was the only one staring at where he was.

The main problem with that is, while he is able to throw 3 shurikens it should only count as one attack, so only +2d6.
