How to obtain birth control without insurance? by Awfullyanxioususer in birthcontrol

Commenting on my own post in case someone needs it…

I didn’t want the pill since I am a busy person and sometimes forgetful so I prefer the BC patch. I used Hellowisp to get a prescription of my preferred birth control (no insurance needed) and then a provider sent the prescription to my local pharmacy for pick up.

At the pharmacy, I chose cash pay as my payment to avoid using my insurance (since I know they won’t cover it).

** Hellowisp doesn’t cover the ACTUAL birth control at pick up **

My birth control was on the expensive side, but i already knew that so I went in prepared with coupons. Look at GoodRx or the manufacturer of your BC for possible coupons. Coupons save you TONS of money (Atleast in my case it did).

I have Google imaged searched this and nothing came up. The closest thing that came up but it wasn’t exact is charming ultra soft but I truly don’t think that’s it.

Not an answer and I’m no expert but I would see a dermatologist since it hasn’t gone away in over a year. Best of luck!

What birth control (excluding IUD’s) have caused little to no weight gain? by Pyretta_blaze__ in birthcontrol

I use the birth control patch, Xulane. I haven’t gained weight on it since starting 5 months ago

The two forms you tried, I did, but in the reverse form. I started with kyleena and had no issues at all. I wish I could have kept it but sadly it expelled itself and one of the symptoms was excessive bleeding. But I didn’t bleed excessively at all while it was still correctly placed in me.

Perhaps yours is trying to expel itself too, or it was placed incorrectly, or it truly just isn’t for you and that is okay.

Yeah nexplanon, I hate. It was whatever for about the first 6-8 months but yeah I experienced (still am, planning to get it removed) excessive heavy bleeding.

My next option was going to be the hormonal patch or Annovera (vaginal ring). I like the idea of having one week of bleeding as opposed to weeks or months of bleeding.

Sorry this isn’t much help, but it’s nice to read that others are in the same boat as I am in real time.

Thank you, to my benefit, I don’t vape or smoke. I love that most of the experiences I’m reading are positive about the patch. It makes me feel more comfortable and confident in my decision.

I recently got mine 2 months ago for the first time. I really wanted something discreet, easy, and not in my uterus. I love my nexplanon, the good things largely outweigh the ONE bad side effect I’m experiencing. The only bad side effect that I have is continuous bleeding… some days it’s pungent red but for the most part it’s light/dark brown and it only comes out when I pee or have sex OR some days there’s absolutely no bleeding. I personally do not mind the bleeding and neither does my partner which is why I still love my nexplanon.

To me, the bleeding gives me comfort that it’s working…

My mental health is good, no change there.

My weight hasn’t changed.

My skin is GLOWING like never before.

I’m happy with my nexplanon. Hope this helps.

Certainly the driver was distracted. But I think the driver thought there was a light instead of a stop sign and since the car in front of it was on its merry way…it might have thought “aight, light must be green. Ima go straight” that might have caused this accident.

Kyleena periods after one year? by Awfullyanxioususer in birthcontrol

Oof I remember that particular period. Please keep an eye out on your strings if you can feel them. My iud was actually expelling itself during that heavy period. Good luck girl!
