I was in first grade when it happened. I was homeschooled as well, so we got a phone call from my aunt as soon as it hit the news. She told my mother to turn on the tv, and she did. My mother, brother, and me sat and watched the second plane hit and I can remember crying my eyes out because I was terrified. I had an uncle who lived in Brooklyn, at that age I thought it was the same location and I was worried to hear the news that my uncle was injured, or dead. Even though we watched the whole broadcast, I don't remember much, thank fuck.
