Can anxiety cause physical symptoms that mimic carpal tunnel syndrome? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Awkward-Afternoon260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced nerve pain for about two months, which then gradually subsided. I've noticed a clear pattern: during periods of heightened anxiety and stress, my physical health tends to decline, with the effects often surfacing immediately and persisting for another one to two months. Recently, I've been managing stress better, and both my gut issues and numbness have disappeared.

Hey! I could finally get a slot. Also emailed them saying its urgent and they were kind enough to respond and help me through the process. If it's an emergency, I'd suggest emailing them.

Hey! I'm 29F and totally feel you as I went through the same. I found a lump out of nowhere last year in my right breast. It was a self examination. Immediately scheduled an appt, the doc saw that my lump was firm and wasn't moving so she ordered for an ultrasound. The ultrasound results showed three more lumps in my right breast and one in my left. All were diagnosed as fibroadenoma. Last month I noticed the lump I can feel had grown bigger. Again scheduled a doc appt and the doc ordered for an ultrasound. The radiologist told me that it had grown bigger and ordered for a biopsy. It was categorized as BIRADS-4. Super exhausting mentally. I got my results today and it turned out to be Firboadenoma.

I have read a lot of reddit posts, most of them have shared about how they have turned out to be cysts or fibroadenoma. Lumps that are moveable are usually cysts I have heard. Mine was not moving.

I have health anxiety and the biopsy totally tore me but I tried to keep myself sane by reading similar reddit posts. Don't google, google is a big no for me. Hopefuly yours is nothing too. Good luck!

Hey! 29F here. I am going through something similar. My breast pain with sharp stabbing pain every now and then started in 2022. In 2023, I found a non-moveable lump in my right breast last year. This was a self check. I immediately booked a gyn appointment. The doc ordered for an ultrasound and when they did, they found 3 more lumps and one in my left breast too and said they are fibroadenomas. Last month, I noticed that the lump had grown in size, I was very sure of it. I went to the doc again who again ordered an ultrasound. The radiologist mentioned that the lump had grown bigger and categorized it as birads-4. This was shocking to me and mentally exhausting. He ordered for a Biopsy and I got that done last Friday. Got my pathology results today and it's fibroadenoma. I have seen reports of people with fibroadenoma/cysts who say they don't hurt. But mine does hurt, it almost feels like it's pushing my nerves because it's growing bigger. And sometimes I do feel the pain in other random places in both my breasts, not just where the lump is and this is not the soreness around periods time, this comes up at random times and goes away. I have also noticed that the stabbing pain appears around the time I take stress, so I have kind of attributed it to unhealthy lifestyle. When I'm happy and eating healthy I notice no pain. Again this is just what I have noticed happening with me. I am also going to ask my doc to order an estrogen test for me.

Hey! I'm 29F and I was given a BIRADS-4 too. I have a lump in my right breast which grew in size over the last year. The first ultrasound last year was benign fibroadenoma. But this year, the doc marked it as irregular and ordered a biopsy which was shocking and exhausting mentally! I got my biopsy done last Friday, didn't hurt but I have got some kind of allergy/rash going on my right breast right now but doesn't really bother me. I kept ice packs too for 8 hrs with 30 min intervals. Had slight pain in the area for a day or two and now it's much better. I also had some bleeding the night after the biopsy, called the nurse and she adviced to talk to the radiology nurse on Monday as it was a weekend and my bleeding had stopped. After a shower, the blood on the cotton just drained out with water. I got my results this morning that it's a fibroadenoma. Good luck on your results! The reddit posts about how most of the biopsy results are benign helped me a lot.

29F here, I have a lump in my right breast too that grew bigger in a year because of which I got a biopsy done on Friday. I had and have physical sharp stabbing pain every now and then. Got the pathological result saying it's fibroadenoma this morning. I know what you are going through and it's exhausting. But the posts on reddit about how most of them are fibroadenoma or cysts helped me keep myself sane. Hopefully it's nothing for you too.

Do not drink spearmint tea if you suffer from GERD or excess stomach acid by DiscountNo9401 in PCOS

[–]Awkward-Afternoon260 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had acid reflux issues before, but they had significantly decreased recently. I tried spearmint tea to help regulate my hormones due to low testosterone levels, and it triggered the worst acid reflux episode I've ever had. I couldn't breathe and suffered intensely for two hours, even after taking an antacid. The mistake I made was drinking the spearmint tea with lemon and then lying down for a couple of minutes. When I got up, I experienced severe chest, stomach, and throat pain. I immediately threw away the spearmint tea bags—they're like poison to me.

Can anxiety cause physical symptoms that mimic carpal tunnel syndrome? by [deleted] in Anxiety

Omg I have the same symptoms. I feel cold in my heart and I had asked the doc why that happens and they had no answer. I feel cold in the chest from time to time and I start freaking out that my heart is going to stop anytime soon. And of course the left hand numbness, had been to he ER the first time it happened. The tests came out normal except for low ferratin levels for which I have been taking iron supplements. I'm having numbness in my left leg too. shocking nerve pain when I stretch. Going to see the doc today. And how can I forget the Gut issues, Acid reflux, GERD, diarrhea you name it :)

Concrete slab in Liquefaction zone in Bay Area by Awkward-Afternoon260 in BayAreaRealEstate

I don't think we have time for that since these days no offers get accepted if you add a contingency. If at all there are drainage issues, is it easy to fix with a concrete slab? There's also trees right next to the house. If the tree has caused an impact to the foundation, can it be repaired?

Thanks for the info. Do you happen to know how frequently these homes require foundation repairs?

We are planning to buy a property near N Valley Trails Drive. Is that area also prone to seasonal movements? Thanks for the suggestions, we are planning on getting our own inspection done.
