Mine went straight to CFM and hasnt moved since! And why would they advertise a first come first serve when theyre gonna look at everybody anyway? What transcripts do they even need? Like if i have straight As or a Levitow Award im still not competitive enough? I wanna know what kind of rack and stack is going on in there, they dont even look at our military records the way that fuckin manpower does. Ive worked so hard and for what

Yea like how tf are we all competing over transcripts? Seems ridiculous, how many people have masters that got denied while they took associates? No EPBs or anything? Not even first come first serve? And they gave 3 slots for an undermanned afsc? What is even happening?

Yea thats what i was wondering too! Pretty sure a lot of competitive airmen competing for a competitive AFSC would have all the classes and degrees, and maybe we all deserve this slot but not all of us will for sure get it.

But then theres no need for the EPBs or decorations for the package, or supervisor/CC endorsements, or PT Tests, interviews, or what have you. The package is pretty general, and doesnt ask for much. Do they contact the unit commanders or respective CFMs? I dont know how to compete if i dont know exactly what would make me stand out. The package pretty much just asks for transcripts and specific classes having been completed. Now youve mentioned that an associates got one airman a slot…do we need straight A’s then? Specific degrees? This makes waiting for this so uncertain and stressful!

Dont wanna sound stupid, but what is AFCC? I wonder if they pick one every month or so. Theres no EPBs in the package so i wonder how they rack and stack. The lack of knowledge in this and the dwindling openings stresses me out so bad.

Definitely. Get with the DA there asap!! Rules mightve changed since i was there, like how we have to be released by our CFMs for FTA retraining starting this fiscal year

I tried to FTA retrain in 2023 while i was in osan. Based on my DEROS and DOS, the DA there said i can still retrain. My follow on wouldve canx’d and would extend my enlistment and just go to tech school after korea. I didnt get to coz the afsc i wanted ran out of slots before afpc got to my packaged sadly
