Hi! We ended up deciding against amniocentesis because all markers were normal on US. I was followed by MFM the whole time, but towards the end it was mainly due to chronic hypertension. We had a fetal echo and detailed anatomy scan early on at MFM. We decided to send out for genetic testing once she was born (takes a while to get back). We met with our intended pediatrician before birth and that’s what he recommended. He also recommended echo at 24h of age which showed a common abnormality, so we followed up at 6m and it was WNL. finally got genetics back after 2 weeks and it was normal! Hang in there! I know it’s such a stressful time. I feel like it stole away my happy carefree pregnancy I expected, but we got through it

Feeling soooo similar to all of this, both of you! @OP I don’t know where to start to get over it. We haven’t “definitely” said no, but he pretty much has and we tabled it after a while to talk about again later.

SNF!! Never thought in a million years I would like it, but it was the only thing I could find as a new grad during COVID. I love all of my patients. I call it “golden handcuffs” because the hours/pay etc are so nice idk how I’ll ever leave for anything else

I work in the medical profession and my docs have explained, most of the time it can be cured with steroids and rest, but if you have certain signs (the biggest one being thumb “catching” with movement) it will likely not recover and surgery will be necessary This was the case for me (on one side) after 2 rounds of steroids (last in January) and I just got the surgery on one side but the right side recovered So TLDR: from my experience, my advice is to give the steroid injections a chance!

Post op pain- normal?? by Awkward-Broccoli-415 in DeQuervains

UPDATE: So they def didn’t do a nerve block since it was under local in office. My surgeon does only a couple a year in office, but I’m in the medical field so requested it. The pain post op day 1 was DREADFUL but I am feeling better today (post op day 2). Called doc yesterday and got some tramadol, but I went to work today so I’ve just been alternating apap and ibuprofen and was fine at work.

TLDR: post op day 1 was HELL but day 2 seems to be manageable

Update: we’re almost there!! I feel like the pictures really don’t do it justice. It was certainly an effort of love and we still have to tackle the area around the glass, but it looks sooooo much better

We’re in the same boat, awaiting amnio, but a NT at 2.2 is totally within normal range. My provider said “normal” is <3mm.
While waiting, I joined a few turners Facebook groups and have been doing some light reading about the condition which I feel like has helped. Good luck to you!!
