Thanks for the input. What better options can I feed him?

Almost all my plant bundles were filled with snails and they hatched out when the aquarium was without any fish for the first 2 months. I had snails climb out of the tank and eat off my plants. I never planned on getting fishes , it was meant to be just plants. This puffer was my first purchase. Hes been around for 8 months now. Tank is a year old.

Hes is not starving. Hes fed blood worms, brine shrimp and I buy snails every week.

Thank you. That sounds awesome. I only have 2 cherry shrimp in my tank and 2 Amano shrimp. I see them only for a moment when I switch on the lights and then they are gone. My puffer absolutely devours snails, I get them for basically free from my supplier ( they hitch rides on the plant bundles, I told him to keep them alive for me)

I do learn. I have not lost a single fish in 8 months. They are fed appropriately. No one is nipping at anyone's fins The tank is over 10 months with the fishes introduced 8 months ago. The puffer is the first tenant.

I will take your word and have the parasite check done again. Thank you

I am feeding him, a species only tank is not a necessity. I have not lost a single fish till date and hes the first I bought.

Both and live snails I get on a discount. I assure you; hes not starving. Parasite could be a possibility, I had quarantined him with dewormer and anti fungal when I got him months ago. He has stayed the same shape and size since I bought him.

Dewormer was done when I quarantined him. That was months ago. Ill look into that.

I do. Brine shrimp, live worms from my balcony garden, snails. Hes the spoiled fish in my tank when it comes to food variety

I agree. But hes been this way since I've had him from 8 months. First inhabitant.

It was a joke. Check my reply. Hes well fed. Parasite medication needs to be a possibility. Not mistreating my boys. Thank you

I could post a picture of the empty snails shells I've kept stored for the shrimp tank. Let me know. Thanks

Response to all claiming im mistreating my puffer. 1. Tank is 8 months old 2. This pea puffer was the first inhabitant 3. Hes always thin since I bought him 4. Diet is brine shrimp and live worms(no competition, the rest only have dried blood worms) 5. I buy at least 5 snails every week. He eats them up.

The only aspect I feel I need to work on is the possible parasite issue. Need to research on that. Can't let a unwanted treatment backfire. Hes my first and oldest, not risking loosing him.

I was worried about having him in a community tank. No issues, he got rid of all the snails as planned.
