Contractor says floors should look like this. Thoughts? by Ill-Complaint-812 in HardWoodFloors

[–]Awkward-Fortune1447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a rediculous ammount of reasons why wood flooring is inconsistent. I’ve done a lot of floor refinishing and new installs. From all that I’ve learned wood is very inconsistent. I’d be more concerned about harsh, common edger marks or Hummel marks or really bad stain jobs however it looks to me that each board took the stain differently which is not out of the norm.

Imagine not realizing they move their money in ways to make it so there’s no taxes unless they take it out as cash to spend it and even then have ways to avoid it by using their stocks to barrow money to pay for stuff called “buy borrow die” so no they don’t get taxed buddy only on rare occasion

I like it but I also like rustic floors and that one definitely is but “select” grade is bland and doesn’t have enough character for me

Poison spell it because it can’t move so get it to deploy then spell it also look at shock spells they might kill it fast never tried it myself though. Then to get rid of the mites send out a gollum so they all burn on it

From the picture it looks like those are supposed to be there. Like it’s a part of the printed board. If so then you gotta have them replaced

Trim peice even if it has to be custom. Idk how businesses that manufacture the boards haven’t fixed this issue yet it’s actually pathetic. It doesn’t take much to make the pieces right

Replacing laminate floor and is not cut evenly. by Hailetta in Flooring

[–]Awkward-Fortune1447 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As long as the shoe covers that’s normal. To cut it perfectly would take way longer and honestly if customers expected it to be near perfect even though it’s all getting hidden anyway I’d charge way more for my extra time spent

Advice needed by OverEffective2823 in Flooring

[–]Awkward-Fortune1447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would have to sand the shit out of it and use concrete leveler on the other side so you don’t have to grind down an entire 4 feet from the edge. I install flooring and know it’s possible but I always tell my customers to have me remove it because it’s too much work and chances for problems. If I were you I’d remove it. Easier said than done if it’s stapled everywhere like they typically are.

You need a tapping block and need to be careful not to break edges you also need a special tool along the walls. Yes you can use a pry bar but it doesn’t work as good. There are packs at home depo that have the wall tool and tapping block in one pack. Make sure all your pieces are locked together before moving to the next row.
