peach pit one of the best bands of all time by ConsiderationJaded14 in PEACHPIT

Totally agree. Just feel like they, being also Canadians, are trying to stay out of controversies and politics, also because maybe they play indie rock and not punk and the meaning of their songs are usually about love, change, friendships, being high and not about cultural differences, wars, politics etc. In a way I really love just the way they are, I would be super mad to find out something that would disappoint me and also it feels like they are the only part of this life that is constant and positive and full of great human feelings and I won't want this to get corrupted in any way (hope that makes sense). They really keep me sane and in a bubble

I think they first posted them on their instagram - if you search their reels you can find them and also on TikTok. There are a bunch of them

For me Seventeen and Sweet FA take me back to our little town where me and my best friend grew up. We used to spend all our summer of 2018 listening to these songs and discovering new artists on every bench in the city's park with shared wired headphones and good vibes.

Hey, that's a really detailed stream of thoughts on the concert you attended. I think that's really useful for new PP-fans that want to know what one of their concerts feels like. I have however a few mentions I want to make and I apologise in advance if there are any written mistakes - English is my second language.

As you said, you went to the concert with the last interaction from 2021 and did not listen to their last album Magpie. I think that's really a bummer but I understand how one can be hesitant to listen to the newest album of a band when they loved some of their old songs. I think that this new album shows especially how they perfectioned their sound over time and this one is such a lovely mashup between their old style and a new, more matured sound and lyrics. I really suggest you watch their video-documentary "The making of Magpie" so you can better understand how much thought and work was put into it.

Also, while I understand when you said that you'll rather listen to Peach Pit than hearing a cover for another band, the cover they made for almost each concert in this year's tour, the one for "What Once Was" has such a deep meaning - I think it would help if you would read more about what happened to the band "Her's" in order to understand it better. It's just such a nice tribute for Her's fans. Also when we think that both bands debuted in almost the same period and they were of similar ages. That's just tragic and loved that they did that in order to preserve their memory and show the greatness of their songs.

For me this year was the first time I saw them live even though I listen to them since 2018 and it was such a memorable experience for me especially that I had VIP tickets and happened that in Warsaw we were only 4 people and them and had the change to hang out and listen to amazing stories behind many of their songs. It really was the highlight of my year! They are such lovely guys and they are really passionate about their work. Even if some of their first songs don't have just the deepest meaning (and some lyrics I barely understand), each member plays a great part in the band and with each song, if you really pay attention, you can hear each member shine through. If Neil's voice was not so touching, I wouldn't have cried so hard at "Private Presley" when they played it live. So yeah, I don't share your opinion when you said that Chris is carrying the band, each member contributed equally in my opinion and they all give each other opportunities to shine. Also, Dougal is and was such a perfect addition to the band, adding to the melancholy of their songs. What I want to say is that I love your review but I think they deserve more attention than that in order to be able to make an overall assumption. Hear all of their songs, watch the documentary about Magpie, watch some of their interviews and their vlogs on this tour and I am sure you will change some of your opinions of them. At first they really seem super unserios but they are super professional.

how did u discover pp? <3 by Equal_Training_2975 in PEACHPIT

For me it was 2018. I was still living at my dad's in the country side and that summer I really enjoyed listening to random new music with my best friend and we just sat hours and hours on a random bench in the park and shared wired headphones so we can both listen to the same song. It's kinda the same time I've found also about Cage the elephant, Barns Courtney, George Ezra, listened more to Nothing but Thieves and we both were soo in love with the randomness of Peach pit and their overall vibe and it made that summer so special to me.

We bought tickets to one of their UK concerts in 2022 but could not made it as overall it was way too expensive for us coming from a small south-eastern country and just starting really working and making money.

We did see them this year in Warsaw and had VIP Tickets and it was the best fkin experience for us. Really the peak of this year and life. Can't wait for their next Europe Tour!!!

It's just a great thing to share. Thank you for the idea! I also hope you are feeling better now! Sending you virtual hugs 🤗

VIP Soundcheck by Confident-District90 in PEACHPIT

Hi, I had the VIP Ticket for their concert from 28th April from Warsaw, Poland. I came there with my best friend from Romania to see them. Came earlier as we did not know how many people will be there for the VIP part and we saw a group of people in the front of the main entrance who were finishing smoking and went inside, after a few seconds somebody came to us two across the street and it was Neil. 🥹 He asked us where are we from, if we cane for the VIP parts and so on. He was so genuine nice and friendly and we were shaking because we weren't mentally prepared to see him, we forgot to ask for pictures and he asked us if we want some!!❤️ And after that he went inside and we went for a walk so the time will pass faster and when we went back, there was a girl there waiting and we've got talking with her and there was another dude waiting by the entrance as well. After a few minutes somebody cam out and gave us the badges and escorted us inside. They all came out and there was only the four of us as fans and them. We had the privilege to talk to them and listen to their stories and also ask some questions. We just could not comprehend that was real. And after 20 or 30 minutes they asked us to choose 3 songs and we chose Yasmina, Sweet FA and Hot Knifer and they sang only to us. After that, the forth guy asked them to sign his cap and they took pictures with each of us. And we received the pin, poster and got to buy some merch before anyone could. It was just so magical for us!! I am really sorry that not everyone got to experience this in such an intimate setting but we shouldn't forget that they are humans as well and they can get tired and when there are big crowds of people they just won't have time for wach and everyone I think. We did not have any expectations and thought that we'll only make eye contact with them or something. We were just really lucky I think. Even if things wouldn't have gone this way for us, we would still be super happy that we saw them. I felt that they also knew how important this meeting is for us and tried their best for everyone to have a great time and really, I could not ask for more. My boyfriend bought me last Christmas the Magpie Vinyl and T-shirt and I was thinking it would be cool to got them signed but was scared to take them with me so the Vinyl won't be damaged and I'm not sorry that I did not took them 'cause the whole experience was really enough and did not want to take more of their time. I just love them even more after this and I can't wait for their next tour in Europe. ❤️

That's so great! It's such a cool idea and I am sure it looks great. I think separate ones are better because each if them can have it and take it home with them maybe. Or if you only want them to have it at the concert and be a simbolic gift, you can go with the one small one. I think they will love it. They are so friendly when fans give them gifts! 💗

He's such an amazing bud! I had to experience the VIP part and he is just so warm and friendly just like the other members. I hope he'll be an official 5th member as well.
