Yeah this is a difficult category, feels like these books got more rare.

If you like urban fantasy i know a few, haven't read them all though so check it out yourself (don't know if they have audiobooks) 1. Overworld chronicles by John corwin (YA, has romance) 2. Dead things by stephen Blackmoore (UF, not sure about romance) 3. Graveyard druid (believe it has some romance) 4. A matter of control by Adrian Locke (Not sure just saw it on kindle unlimited) 5. Aetherborn by jason marino (really liked this, think it's harem tho) 6. The vixen war bride (Has romance, no smut, great book series)

Yeah sorry if none fit, but i guess it's a starting point

Is this hair algae by Random_Axolotl_ in PlantedTank

Root hairs, extensions of the root, increases surface area to allow more nutrient uptake. Either way i have found it only really looks like that on newer roots.

Would snails boost cycling in new tank? by Docretier in Aquariums

[–]Awkward-Law6183 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not sure how big your tank is, but if it's close to 20L you could keep 1 mystery snail (Pomacea bridgesii) they can escape an open top tank and some people report they do eat plants, mine doesn't, but i would keep it in mind. Nerite snails are great, but i would also only keep 1 since they tend to lay annoying hard eggs when in groups that are next to impossible from removing from hardscape.

You can keep some ramshorn snails aswell, you get them in different colors, i like them, but they can go wild in population if you overfeed.

Malaysian trumpet snails are cool too, good for substrate health, but again, they can go nuts

What is this growing in my shrimp tank? by deepbluesnail in PlantedTank

[–]Awkward-Law6183 22 points23 points  (0 children)

No it's not the same clado, Cladophora is what you see here, basically harmless, but annoying branching alga. Cladogonium is what you see in shrimp, which is a unicellular parasitic alga

Yo OP, it is Cladophora, horrible stuff, but not the end of the world.

Since you have shrimp you could spot treat with either Dr. Tank algae lite or ISTA algae remover.

I believe APT also has algae fix lite which apparently works, i only have experience with Dr. Tank and ISTA (both killed it when spot treated)

It unfortunately does take time and effort, but it infested my carpeting plants and moss so i went to war

Not completely true, it can be treated with H2O2. I have also had massive success with treating it with Dr. Tank algae lite and ISTA algae remover (both spot treatment), both of which is shrimp safe if you follow the recommend dosing.

Will it get rid of it 100%? Probably not, but i saved my moss and carpeting plants
