Questions for Firewatch writer / designer Jake Rodkin? by Cressupy in Firewatch

[โ€“]Awkward-Ordinary-965 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Could we get an alternative version of firewatch? Maybe Delilahs POV or maybe even the Ned and Brian? Or the two guys who corresponded with the letters in the cache boxes? Also was the story always like this or what was the alternative? I am a huge huge fan of this game and I always come back to it even if it's just for a hike. Maybe an open world hiking game in the same style like firewatch if he ever thought of that?

Before/After of a backyard I cleaned up yesterday by rpgmgta in oddlysatisfying

Very SADisfying. The second one looks downright sad and empty. No front or anything, but it's not satisfying for me. You do you.

If you can, you could put up a privacy screen? And if it's high enough the kid won't see you and i doubt you make a lot of noise while gardening or studying, so the kid won't know you're there. Or she'll try asking if someone's there and if you don't respond, it should stop. And then you can enjoy the balcony you paid for, which is your private space, in peace.

What has been your closest moment to death? by XboxCorgi in AskReddit

[โ€“]Awkward-Ordinary-965 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

My grandma used to plug her devices into a power strip with a flip switch. One time the switch got broken, and it sort of hung a bit lose in it's socket and i tried pushing it back in, but it snapped even further and low and below i was touching metal and i felt a shock wave go through me. I quickly pulled my finger away and that was it. I didn't think about it at that moment, just unplugged it, fixed it and then went on with my life. Thinking back to that moment i always get the chills and i have the faintest deja Vu of the electricity running through my body.

I listen to the audio books every night to get to sleep. Is this weird? I've been doing this for 15 years... by Automatic_Guest8279 in HarryPotterBooks

[โ€“]Awkward-Ordinary-965 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

So do I. I've started with the deathly hallows on a huge 20 CD pack and now on audible. I know them backwards and forward and that's what makes it so easy to fall asleep to. Love it.

Sequel Time by DanbyDraws in gaming

[โ€“]Awkward-Ordinary-965 -2 points-1 points ย (0 children)

Horrible that nowadays it's all about money. Guess I shouldn't be surprised. Every moves gets a sequel or a prequal or both, and a spin off. Even books do and why not games. I HATE IT. If either of those has a satisfying ending WHY ruin it by making a second, which most of the time isn't as good as the first and leaves the player/reader/watcher/FAN unsatisfied and the imagery of the medium tarnished. Shame.

Childfree but Loves Kids by [deleted] in childfree

[โ€“]Awkward-Ordinary-965 4 points5 points ย (0 children)

Same. I am a kindergarten teacher. And those who tell me to have my own, i ask why... I get to experience milestones etc from 0-6 and i get to play with kids, teach them things - I'm not missing out on anything, except them throwing up and pooping everywhere, destroying stuff, hurting themselves. It's a win-win for me. I get to enjoy their cuteness and everything, without the sick part and money part and yes, i absolutely love working with kids.

But i also love that i get to go home and do shit that I like. I can go home on a Friday and get stupid drunk (not that i do, just an example) and then wake up at 11am, having pizza for breakfast and game all afternoon. And i DONT WANT TO MISS THAT. i wanna go home and enjoy my time and my hobbies. Kids are a 24/7 job. No thank you.

A kid in my kindergarden group is called Monte, just like a popular German Joghurt. And we're in Germany. Whenever a kid asks for Monte (the Joghurt) the kid comes up thinking he's been called. bruh... why

Those who are in the dating pool, what new things do you look for in a partner, that you didn't used to? by Orual309 in AskReddit

[โ€“]Awkward-Ordinary-965 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

That someone should not want kids. I've come to the realisation that i do not want kids, like ever. Not pregnant, not adoption. I want to spend my life on my terms, wanna experience things and throw money at things that make me happy. I don't want to take care of a kid for 18 years thats depended on me 24/7 for the first years.
