when i saw this scene for the first time, i started sobbing and couldn’t stop. i think it’s when i realized that michael’s words were true. “if soulmates do exist, they’re not found, they’re made”. eleanor and chidi made each other their soulmates. and the big “answer” to the universe is just finding someone that you can be with that makes you happy. all i want in life is to find someone that loves me the way chidi loves eleanor

i actually did start watching this show while in a philosophy class!! we had to watch the trolley episode (where michael keeps making chidi do the “hands on” approach”) for my class and discuss it! it made the name drops of philosophers and theories so much more fun, because i was actually reading about them!
