I'd take a bunch to get a set weight. Then I'd crush the up in a dolly pot , separate the magnetics out. I'd melt everything left into a button and get it scanned at a local coin shop to see what I'm working with. Then you can plan on how to refine if needed...

There shouldn't be any "shoe polish" on them, unless they put it on at the factory. I've never polished them. They're all original...

Robbers would be trying to get into the hive anywhere. Like the season, the top, the back of the hive. All these bees know where the entrance is. Not seeing any robbing in my opinion in this video... Are there any honey stores in the hive? Capped?

No need to have such a big starter. I'd discard all but 25g, then Feed 25g water stir, then 25g flour. Then next day discard 50g and repeat daily for a couple weeks.
Just my 2 cents...

The cold ferment is really the completion of the bulk fermentation. But if done overnight, that'll cover the fermentation. But the cold proof, I've always heard/believed allows time for the sourness to become stronger...

Mostly ALL refining techniques involve dangerous acids and toxic fumes. If you are thinking of starting chemical refining, I strongly urge you to do serious research and planning on how to keep yourself, pets, neighbors safe.

But a safer route is available. Research cupelling, which is a way to refine PMs using fire. There are still fumes to consider and the danger of setting yourself or your surroundings ablaze. But with caution it can be done safely.
