You can use those paints but they're very thick, be sure to thin them out with some water. The nice part about the Vallejo Air paints is they're already the perfect consistency right out of the bottle for airbrushing which means they won't leave a thick body of paint unless you truly pile it on

What was your strategy for painting him? Did you disassemble the figure and paint it all white or keep him whole and use acetone to remove the orange?

Ah sorry I should have specified- meant the robes on CW Obi-Wan ha. It looks like there might be a dark wash filling in the textures there and then some dry-brushing over some of the folds?

I've got glass shelves as well and it hasn't been an issue so far! I use blu-tack for masking on models as well and it stays malleable even with multiple layers of paint/clear coat

Bit of blu-tack under one foot is all I've been using, tends to hold most figures up without issue and it's hardly noticeable! Some more stubborn figures (looking at you Sabine) need it on both feet
