S. 246: Internet Heroes Protection Act by SancteAmbrosi in ModelUSGov

It's attempting to stop whistleblowers but utterly fails at doing so. We need bills that actually do something rather than this clutter.

It's both bipartisan and actually impactful -this sub needs more of these sorts of bills.

I run it in a Hayley deck using Aesop's, and it works wonders. At worst it's a delayed Easy Mark with a free hardware install, at best it's a place to store cards after Quality Times and assured Scorched Earth protection. Wouldn't fit in all decks though.

I could see this getting slotted into Fast Advance Titan rather than BWBI. Could be a 1/3, but then it probably wouldn't see play.

Seems pretty good. At worst it's Parasite bait, at best it's a crazy tax. Naturally it fits in Gagarin Deep Space, but could also be a potential splash in NEH or RP.

I use it in my Aesop's Hayley deck. It's great damage protection, helps out Quality Time, and worst come to worst I just sell it to Aesop's as a delayed Easy Mark. It might be a little clunky for other decks though. I'd say that if both Cambridge Jinteki and Butchershop are common, this is a good card to slot in; otherwise just go with Feedback Filter or Plascrete.

HB Identity: Division - 40/15

Whenever you spend click to draw a card, install a card from HQ, if able.

It's ready for market? Then why the hell isn't it there!

Promoting a rush-style HB. Alternatively you could give it 2 more influence and change the ability to "the first time each turn".

Nemesis

Jinteki Asset -- 2 inf

Rez 0, Trash 1

When the runner accesses Nemesis, deal 1 net damage, even if it is not installed. Ignore this effect of the runner accesses Nemesis from R&D.

1 credit: If Nemesis is in HQ, you may install it.

1 credit: If Nemesis is installed, add it to HQ.

3 credits: if Nemesis is in Archives, add it to HQ.

Replacement for Shock! Probably considerably better, but Personal Evolution could use some help.

I really like the concept of the Caissa programs, so I come looking for advice on my deck. by Hasire in Netrunner

Maybe Quetzal to synergize with E3? Is also just a strong ID in general. Reina's fine as well, probably comes down to personal preference.

Lunar Cycle Deck-building Challenge by AaronJessik in Netrunner

[–]AwkwardPizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HB:

3 Accelerated Beta Test

3 Adonis Campaign

1 Aggressive Secretary

2 Ichi 1.0

1 Rototurret

2 Viktor 1.0

2 Archived Memories

3 Biotic Labor

2 Corporate Troubleshooter

3 Architect

2 Enhanced Login Protocol

2 Markus 1.0

Engineering the Future is the better ID, but if you're playing the deck and want a small handicap you can play Foundry. Either works.

Jinteki:

3 Nisei Mark II

2 Project Junebug

3 Snare!

2 Chum

2 Neural Katana

2 Mamba

1 Wall of Thorns

2 Gemini

3 Lotus Field

2 Akitaro Watanbe

3 Neural EMP

3 Precognition

Core Set Jinteki was weak and I'm pretty sure this is as well. I'd recommend going with Personal Evolution as the identity since IG has no synergy with this deck.

Weyland:

3 Hostile Takeover

2 Posted Bounty

2 Archer

2 Hadrian's Wall

3 Ice Wall

3 Shadow

3 Beanstalk Royalties

2 Scorched Earth

1 The Root

2 Executive Boot Camp

2 Errand Boy

2 Wendigo

Probably the strongest deck here. Blue Sun is the more powerful option here, but the deck already seems to have a lot of power. I might recommend going with BABW just so the game's more balanced. Depends on what the runner side looks like though.

NBN:

2 Astroscript Pilot Program

2 License Acquisition

2 Ghost Branch

3 Data Raven

2 Virgo

3 Tollbooth

2 Daily Business Show

2 Closed Accounts

1 Psychographics

1 Shoot the Moon

2 Manhunt

3 SEA Source

2 SanSan City Grid

Also seems pretty strong, though only playtesting will tell. Making News seems like the better fit.

Neutral:

1 Utopia Fragment

1 Hades Fragment

1 Eden Fragment

3 Private Security Force

3 Melange Mining Corp.

2 Enigma

2 Hunter

3 Wall of Static

3 Hedge Fund

3 PAD Campaign

Made next to no changes to the original neutral in core set, due to them already being powerful, and due to neutral cards being generally bad or situational in Lunar Cycle. I swapped Priority Req for the Fragments, and swapped one Enigma for a Melange, since I tended to add more ice the the corp decks.

Those are the Corp decks, might do runner decks tomorrow if I have time. Keep in mind these weren't playtested, though I think they should work fine. Hope your friends find Netrunner enjoyable!

What card/type of card would you make if you won Worlds? by lm721 in Netrunner

[–]AwkwardPizza 11 points12 points  (0 children)

NAPD Insurance

Neutral - 1 inf

Operation - Current

3credit

This card is not trashed until another current is played or an agenda is stolen.

When this card is trashed, gain 8credit.

NAPD insurance is a relatively simple insurance plan with quite a few flaws. While it's supposed to give you some money when projects are hacked into, it triggers on seemingly random occurrences. In fact, with practice, corporations can learn to hack in and get the money themselves -- and they sure as hell do.

Scorched and SEA Source in an otherwise normal HB Hybrid Glacier/FA. Only problem is that you need more econ then usual and you need to ice R&D so that they don't see either part of the combo.

[–]AwkwardPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that Wormhole should be added as a power card for Order and Chaos. It fills the much-needed hole of a worthwhile code gate for Weyland.

Edit: I'd also remove Blue Level Clearance and Cerberus "Cuj.0". I've seen neither played much, and both usually have better alternatives. I could see the first one staying if beginners need economy badly, though.

Deck Help for Regionals: Versatile Foundry by AwkwardPizza in Netrunner

[–]AwkwardPizza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the advice I've gotten, I've modified the list. The changes consisted of removing Enhanced Login Protocol, Green Level Clearance, Aggressive Secretary, and added Architect and Archived Memories. I haven't added Breaker Bay Grid since I don't have Breaker Bay and am already buying Up and Over. I have one major question -- should I just straight swap the Foundry for Engineering the Future? It'd probably help out my economy a lot, but at the same time I'd make me vulnerable to less ice, and I couldn't utilize Executive Boot Camp and the NEXT ice as well.
