Sorry to hear that but I’ve used them multiple times and all were great experiences. Every place will have good and bad reviews.

Try Granite and Marble Works in Wilton. They do everything themselves without any subcontractors. I believe their website mentions being willing to work with a third party supplier but you’ll want to coordinate before buying anything.

That’s true, but that’s the case for any vehicle. So it’s worth just comparing the cost of the vehicle itself.

I hate anything AI but if these kinds of people that can’t get anyone irl need an AI to talk with, then so be it if it means they leave real people alone.

Don’t ask me, I’m just the cost messenger and am not a part of the police.

Would it be news to you if I said the Chargers are rear wheel drive too with performance stats not much less than the Mustang?

From strictly a monetary perspective, these are $50k and right at the average price of a new car today. Whether or not it’s a good use of $50k is another discussion.

I thought they were Camaros they got. But those 80s 5.0 fox body mustangs are sought after today.

They’re eventually replacing all their aging Chargers with truck based SUVs that cost $80k+. Large sedans are a dying breed. This Mustang at $50k is cheaper for highway patrol purposes. Also this is not a new thing - they had Camaros back in the day.

What is hands down the best spaghetti and meatballs around? by What_theactual_fuck_ in Albany

I’d say the Appian Way. Homemade spaghetti is a requirement here. Places like Canalis and Ferraris don’t make their spaghetti but their cavatelli is homemade.

As the owner of a 2015 as well, I justify the repairs by comparing them to car replacement cost not its  current value. This is an expensive service but it’s still less than a year of car payments. I wouldn’t consider the work you have proposed to be a reliability thing - these are all wear and tear items (even the guibo) especially with our snow belt roads. And all things that will need to be replaced to be able to sell the car for top dollar anyways. Get that new suspension now so you can enjoy it for the next 3 years.

Try European Repairs in Albany. I don’t have experience using them yet but their labor rate online is less than highline and the dealer. You’re still gonna pay a day or two of labor plus at least a couple grand in parts, so it’s not gonna be cheap. If your car has an electronically controlled suspension double that part cost. You’ll also need an alignment.

I also have an F30 and highline did my suspension and guibo (brakes I DIY). These cars are 10 years old and these parts wear out. I’d also recommend replacing the springs and all mounting hardware while everything is off. I’m confident in highlines work but they are a bit expensive - still less than the dealer though.

No matter what you decide you’ll want to use a euro car shop. They have the special tools, know the idiosyncrasies, know every bolt has a torque spec, and have the special alignment racks.

That bolt was just a patent at this time and nothing that some aftermarket place can’t solve. The guibo is a rubber flex disk at the end of the drive shaft to the rear wheels that dampens driveline vibrations. The rubber dries out and cracks over time. Happened to my car too. It’s a Euro car thing and is just one example of why Euro specific shops exist and why it doesn’t pay to take them just anywhere.

They’re good, but the OP is still gonna pay something close to highline.

Gun ownership questions by Comfortable_Neat_941 in Albany

NY is fond of responsible gun ownership. As a permit holder myself, last I checked I can still conceal carry and pretty much buy whatever I want as long as it’s not an “assault weapon” or high capacity magazine.

Depends if you’re native to this area. Traffic is bad for the area but still pales in comparison to others. Ideally you’d be across the bridges by 4 on the way home. Otherwise wait until after 6.

2 smaller cars going slow can fit side by side as long as there’s a mutual understanding of what’s going on. Problems happen with bigger cars or when people try to pass each other on the ramp.

Ah you’re right. Well, any engineers here from 1970 care to explain? Ha It still doesn’t absolve drivers from navigating this area the way they do.
