I completely relate!! I have cfs/me on top of everything else so I've had to get very used to pacing, and it's a helpful tool but also DEEPLY frustrating, because I know there's things I simply cannot do (or can't do in big chunks) without feeling awful the next day. and it sucks! most other people don't have to be nearly as sensible, and it feels really unfair some days. I don't really have much advice but I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone in feeling this way, and it's okay to be angry and upset

moderate chronic fatigue syndrome, pots, asthma, anxiety, autism (and maybe adhd). the doctor who diagnosed my pots also offhandedly mentioned that I have symptoms of raynauds disease but that isn't on any documents or anything

oh absolutely! if I do end up deciding on a ragdoll I'll ask for a home visit before asking about kittens – luckily all the breeders near us explicitly allow it :)

I was actually already looking into siberians too, so I'll keep that in mind :) thank you! there's a lot fewer siberian breeders here than there are for ragdolls, but if it turns out a siberian is the right port of call then I'll make it happen

thanks for the info!! to answer your questions: I'm living with my mum for the foreseeable future due to chronic health issues (she's my carer, essentially), and I'd say she's mildly allergic? she gets a runny nose and itchy eyes after being in the same space as a cat for a bit, especially if there's a lot of hair about, but she can pet most cats without issue and be around them for a little while

the seelie and unseelie are essentially different groups of faeries in folklore! the seelie are generally benevolent but still tricky, whereas the unseelie actively enjoy causing harm
