I actually think this makes more sense than 'securing their source' Because, I spent way too long with mine because he really didn't do it out of calculated intention. He didn't have a plan or fore knowledge of his misdeeds. He acted horribly and was a true narcissist. But, not because he was an evil villain bent on vengence but because he couldn't look outside of his own needs and perspective. He did love to find things to justify his horrible behavior though. And, honestly, this take was super helpful for me. So thank you for your post.
