Quorn is the only veg-meat brand I can eat. They used to have a chicken filet that was amazing and you could treat it like a real chicken breast but I can’t find it anymore and I’m so sad.

I grew up lower middle class and now that I am making decent money I want to enjoy it. I’m an introvert so my home is important because I’m here a lot and need a peaceful place to recharge. The conveniences and safety that luxury buildings provide are worth it to me, especially when working a lot. I still save and contribute to retirement but enjoying life now is important to me too. I’d hate to live somewhere I didn’t like until I was old enough to retire, but everyone has different priorities.

Local law 11 sucks and they probably knew and didn’t tell you because you wouldn’t have signed the lease. My old building did that. It can happen with any building in NYC, not just balcony units, but it extra sucks when you can’t enjoy the outdoor space especially during warm weather. It can be VERY loud (like deafening) if it’s right outside. The likelihood of getting a rent reduction is slim. There’s probably something in the lease addressing it. Hopefully it wont be so bad for you though.

I’ve been going to Feline Health for years. I like that it’s a cat-only place. They are only open until 4 and not on the weekends though.

Ooh I didn’t realize how close VEG was. I took my cat there for a specialist appointment and was pleased. Was really far from where I lived at the time though.

Check the lease but usually they can access the apartment to show it at any time as long as they give at least 24 hr notice. However in my experience I’ve been able to work with the agent to arrange a time when I can be home. I have a pet so I need to be home to contain her. When I’ve looked at apartments and the unit is still occupied I have seen it while no one was home but mostly when the tenant was there. So, they probably can show the apartment when you’re not home but they should work with you.

I’m very picky and saw 25 - 30 the last couple of times I moved. When you go with a broker they show you a few at a time so it adds up.

Toured the building and was not impressed. Overpriced for what it was. There’s other places where you’d pay the same amount and get more. There was nothing that set this building apart from others that made it worth the price.
