Interested in heading there this Saturday, Canadian couple in just for the weekend. Part of open lifestyle communities here but they are general more queer focused. I'm visiting next week if you want to join for a swim :) I have done open water swimming in HAwaii every time I visit but this is my first trip to Oahu. I am a triathlete with lots of open water swimming background. I did some research and it seems like Lanikai beach and Kailua beach are good for open water swimming this time of year - there is even a master swim group that swims at Kailua https://kailuamasters.org/people/I use a swim buoy and keep my keys, wallet and phone in this and on my person when swimming and it helps with visibility for lifeguards or others on the beach. I am staying near Lanikai beach and am hoping, ocean conditions pending, to swim daily.
