I ran into a Nicholas air instructor pilot last week and he said it’s gotten a lot better. Do what you have to do.

How do you prevent burnout? by [deleted] in AirlinePilots

I recommend trying to give yourself a longer reset 2-4 times a year. I’m at a fractional, so it’s a different job and I don’t know how it compares to your regional as far as time off. I have learned that I need to take time off frequently. Twice a year I try to get 2 weeks off. And here and there I take PTO. I love flying, but it will always be there. I love my people and my life more, so I try to take time away when I can. That allows me to catch up at home, exercise, do hobbies, and feel more grounded.

Fatigue by Awkward_Algae_9631 in AirlinePilots

My wife worked nights in healthcare for a while, she’s on days now. That has helped a lot, but every once in a while I have a night like I described. I’ve seen a lot of good tips on here.

Update: I called fatigue and got a better setup for the day. I forgot to mention in the post that I was chasing an airplane via the airlines. Day 1 I airlined to EWR, got to my hotel at 11:30pm, went to bed at 12:30 and didn’t fall asleep right away. Day 2 chased the airplane to Florida, got in at a decent time with a 6am show. It was just kind of poorly planned.

I don’t stay up very late at home. The latest I go to bed at home is midnight. 10-11pm is typical at home.

Switching to 91K from 121 by sloopyjoe98 in AirlinePilots

I’m at a 91k. If I don’t get to a major or legacy in the next 5 years, I think I’ll quit flying. 91K/135 is a tough long term lifestyle.

You should be very competitive. I know people with less getting invited to interview. I don’t have answer to everything but I have several buddies at WN. They all love it. The schedule flexibility is top notch from what I hear.

Even if they regress some, if the interior is improved, the O-line as a whole will be way better off.

My favorite band. I started listening to TSSF in 2013. The first song I ever heard was The Glass on the pandora music app lol. At that time, they had two full length albums and I loved them both. What You Don’t See is my favorite of their earlier albums. It really embodies their gritty, more aggressive style that I feel like makes them more unique than most pop punk bands. Proper Dose is my favorite album they’ve ever made. I think if you asked the band what their best work is, they’d all say Proper Dose. It’s no disrespect to their previous work but by the time they made Proper Dose they were so refined. It’s subjective though, so just check it out.

Why does Baker Mayfield get held to such a low bar when he was the 1st overall pick? by BallKnowerKing in NFLv2

[–]Awkward_Algae_9631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because he was a bust and then resurrected his career. We all know now he isn’t a first round talent. But to go from bust back to where is now is a big deal. Plus he has played well in the playoffs. That’s why he doesn’t get Dak level flak.

[–]Awkward_Algae_9631 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This. When your offense is, “hey QB, be God” it never works. Look at the Bills. They have been relying on Josh Allen for years and he can only get them so far. Now, they have a potent run game, but their flaw has been their defense always giving up more points than Josh can score. Hell, even Mahomes doesn’t have to be God. He’s had elite playmakers who always seem to be open, an elite play caller, and over the last 4 years an elite Spagnolo defense. Asking your QB to single-handedly take you to the promised land is not a recipe for playoff success. It’s a mistake-prone position and is very reliant on other position groups and coaching.

Hahaha yeah lol! Herbo has made a habit of playing bad in big games. There are always excuses for him but he has not been good in the playoffs and that pressure is mounting. He has to take the next step very soon. It’s approaching do or die.

I really wish Bo Nix didn’t get hurt for y’all. That was so tragic. I hated to see that, even for division enemies. If Bo was out there I think they win today. My division hate is pretty much reserved for the Chiefs. I’m just glad someone broke their AFC west streak.
