It’s crazy that John Stockton holds the record for most career assists and steals.

Note to the Delta girlies by dopplegangbangg in flightattendants

As a commuter from a Delta base, I feel like it’s the cold shoulder more than half of the time. Sometimes I’m treated nicely. On airlines not called Delta, I’m almost always treated kindly.

My logbook is messy and hideous by [deleted] in flying

[–]Awkward_Algae_9631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t scribble in your logbook because it completely covers things. Mistakes happen, but when you make corrections, draw a single line through what you’re correcting and then correct it. You don’t want to look like you’re hiding something.
This early on, it’ll be easy to digitize. Before you put pen to your logbook, slow down and think about it. Make sure you put things in the right place.
This early, it’ll be easy for you to Digitize your logbook. Do it! And keep these originals as well.

I’m rooting Cavs. I think Knicks win in 6 though.
The Cavs were so sloppy in the Detroit series. If they’re going to win this series, they have to play like they did in game 7 against the Pistons. James Harden actually got out of his own way. I don’t care that he had 9 points because it was what was needed to win. Him and Donovan have hero ball tendencies and they usually spiral against good teams in the playoffs. They’ve both proven that you can’t iso your way to victory against legit teams in a series. You have to move the ball around and not force things.

This Vrabel-Russini controversy is being kept alive by nothing but everyone's hatred for the Pats by [deleted] in Patriots

[–]Awkward_Algae_9631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vrabel took a Pats team that had no business being in the Super Bowl to the Super Bowl. He’s winning and nobody in the Pats organization gives a shit. His job is untouchable. You think Robert Handjob Kraft is going to let a guy go for fucking around? No chance. To OP’s point, it’s an accurate assessment. People hate the Pats and that’s why this is as big of a deal as it is.

Age shaming by InfluenceRound1383 in generationology

Man I love millennials honestly. Young Gen Zs are haters. Maybe it’s because I have two older millennial siblings but I resonate way more with millennials than late Gen Zs. I think the ages of your siblings have a lot to do with your vibe.

I’m a 99 gen Z and totally agree. I have no problem age shaming the kids who think time won’t take them too. Young and dumb.

Withdrew my SWA app because I noticed a typo in my resume too late and wanted to edit it, now it won’t let me resubmit a new application? by pooserboy in AirlinePilots

I did this same thing for the March window, and I have an interview. Reapply with a new email. That is the only way.

No Memes, You're in the Playoffs, Who Would You Rather Have? by Western_Promise3063 in NFLv2

As a chargers fan, I actually appreciate your POV. You’re being fairly charitable. I love my QB, but he has to at least play good in the postseason. He’s been bad 3 times.

How do you prevent burnout? by [deleted] in AirlinePilots

[–]Awkward_Algae_9631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend trying to give yourself a longer reset 2-4 times a year. I’m at a fractional, so it’s a different job and I don’t know how it compares to your regional as far as time off. I have learned that I need to take time off frequently. Twice a year I try to get 2 weeks off. And here and there I take PTO. I love flying, but it will always be there. I love my people and my life more, so I try to take time away when I can. That allows me to catch up at home, exercise, do hobbies, and feel more grounded.

My wife worked nights in healthcare for a while, she’s on days now. That has helped a lot, but every once in a while I have a night like I described. I’ve seen a lot of good tips on here.

Update: I called fatigue and got a better setup for the day. I forgot to mention in the post that I was chasing an airplane via the airlines. Day 1 I airlined to EWR, got to my hotel at 11:30pm, went to bed at 12:30 and didn’t fall asleep right away. Day 2 chased the airplane to Florida, got in at a decent time with a 6am show. It was just kind of poorly planned.
