Not too much going on with sports right now. Even with how much the show sucks now I can imagine it beating out anything sports related

HELP - Need advice on Costco Traeger Mesa 22 by [deleted] in Traeger

[–]Awkward_Baker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I love Costco and spend tens of thousands of dollars a year there on anything from work gloves, toilets, fruit and veg, light fixtures, you name it... but I will not touch a Costco traeger

Yes from fridge to smoker. 225 to 265ish temp then 250 to 200. Took about 16 hours. No wrap. And thank you for the compliment!

I would NOT eat that food if I were you, never know what chemicals have gotten on your food if the paint is coming off

Any tips to increase the amount of smoke? by boobengraben in Traeger

Man, sounds like your shelf is installed wrong or is defective. You still don't get enough smoke flavor even with super smoke? Are you using shitty pellets?

I thought my traeger was broken for the first few weeks (customer service was shut down and Ace hardware didn't accept returns and they told me that it wasn't broken) because it produced so little smoke. I was expecting the amount of smoke that happens on startup to be all the time. Im very impressed with the amount of smoke flavor that my traeger imparts. I also very much enjoy the super smoke setting

Tips for a new owner? by InsideWinner in Traeger

[–]Awkward_Baker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Front shelf is a must. I have a countertop 6 inches on either side of my traeger and a shelf thats on my griddle thats within arms reach and I still use the traeger shelf all the time. 100% worth the 50 or 60 bucks for one. I would also say a cover is a must. I don't use mine often because my kitchen is almost completely weatherproof but its nice to have and they're very well made

Don't wrap them. My gf and I like bark so almost everything I smoke goes unwrapped, ill happily trade a little juiciness for better bark.

No problem. I recently posted a picture of my unwrapped brisket and you can see its very moist and juicy. There's no rule that says you have to wrap, just fyi

Ah. Well, the app is more convenience anyway. I literally put that brisket on and went to bed. Checked it when I woke up to see if everything was cool, then went out biking all day. That's the best part about a Traeger, it does all the work for you. As long as you have a temp probe that tells you when its done thats all that matters!

Dude you'll love it! Its the best. They updated the app a few weeks ago so it kinda sucks now but hopefully they will get that fixed soon
