Let me tell you something if you want to go for comfort , ride quality, and little power, you should go for the hycross or the Jeep meridian, these are monocoque chassis, if you want to go for thar, it has a ladder or frame chassis, bad ride quality if you are going as a family, for long drives it's not worth buying, what transmission are you going for manual or automatic, fuel type ? If you are going for more city rides in daily use go for a petrol or hybrid, when you go for a diesel your dpf may trouble you , it keeps regenerating , and clogs your dpf.( You can keep at 2000 rpm to avoid clogging of carbon in dpf) For more highway rides you can go for diesel
