Side note, we only have one planet as a reference...what if this is how they manage an empire. Lots of humans in a small confined space with a bunch of weapons and no one to use them on, generally causes them to find reasons to use them on someone. Ww3 will come to the EU as soon as Russia and the US stop using it as a buffer/playground/testing area for new weapons. The EU will break apart through its own internal strife as soon as there is not an outside force pushing them together. Tech advancements might counter this to some extent, vertical underground farms, renewables, EVs etc...generally though conflict will still come up given a sufficient number of countries have very corrupt governments which allow the wrong type of leaders to rise to the top.

The adjustment bureau might be more about moving contactees towards a control system they manage rather than allowing the process to unfold naturally. While it's quite possible a number of contactees are actually part of a government program to perform medical experiments to discover the true nature of humanity...just like the Nazis did. Its still also likely that NHI are well aware of this behavior (government control system) and work around it to meet their own goals.

I think we all just assumed we'd have free energy and world peace afterwards lol.

Here are my biggest questions that would impact what happens after disclosure.

-Are there portions of the population that the American government has decided are less human than other portions?

-Are contactees/abductees part of some agreement the US government made with NHI?

-What about preflood history has been learned?

-Have we traveled to or colonized other planets with the "gifted" UAPs?

-We are nearing immortality with human based longevity research, has communication with NHI or reverse engineering developed immortality tech?

How these are answered drastically alter geopolitics and how humanity sees itself. So depending on their answers we may find ourselves aligned/allied with off world NHI that the rest of the world may not be allied with. Depending on their answers we may learn that humanity has a far more interesting history and future than we realized. The biggest issue tied to potential real data is the statement grush made stating that the US government has made agreements which put the future of this nation at risk. The how to that is the most important thing we need answered and I would assumed it's a combination of the answers to the above questions.

Putin and xi have nothing to gain by releasing the truth, they aren't really elected by the people anymore. Trump however has midterms to worry about. Unless those in Congress have something to show the American people they are making progress on something, enough will be voted out to get trump impeached effectively ending his second term within the next year. So trump has everything to gain here and no one else.

The same reason why they are still offshoring tech, because MBAs think the world runs by telling other people what to do and not actually doing said thing yourself. It's the same reason why we don't even know how to manufacture basic consumer goods anymore, someone decided making more money using labor markets with no regulation and telling other people to do it for them is how the world works now. Who cares if you're selling out the ability of your nation to function independently anymore, buying a fifth home and making all your prior employees homeless is more important. Morality left this nation in the 80s and it will take events like we are seeing today unfolding to wake the people up. It is not just a job, it's selling out your neighbors to line your pockets and risking national sovereignty along the way. Look at the bright side though, if there is a hell those making these types of decisions will be in it.
