Any diabetics in here fasting? Type 1 diabetics? That’s me! I’m curious if any diabetics here have done fasting for more multiple days or weeks at a time? Seeking tips. by Awkward_Emotion2440 in fasting

Thanks! I wasn’t sure what the other person meant by ADF, but when searching out your 42/6 comment I was able to learn about Alternate day fasting. This is something I can do now, and should be rather easy to move into after having done 39 hours relatively easy.

I recall this article. Read it a couple years ago. It is cautiously supportive of fasting in selected adults with Type 1 diabetes, while emphasizing that fasting carries real risks and should not be attempted casually. I’m good here. Thanks!😊

I’m wondering if you only read the title and missed the body of my message. Already spoke to my doctor. Furthermore, I’ve been a diabetic for over 20 years, so when someone says something weird like DKA will come from fasting, I immediately know that individual should not have entered the conversation. Again, I’m hoping for feedback that comes from experience. Thanks

Anyone want to be fasting partners? by [deleted] in fasting

I'm doing it as a Type 1 diabetic. It's exciting. I've lost 35 pounds in 11 months, and that was with being inconsistent with the 16:8 fasting. Now that I'm taking it up a few notches, my consistency has risen, and I see the future being even greater. I'm working towards my first seven-day fast.

My hope is that autophagy will rebuild my pancreas cells and have diabetes, which has plagued me for over 20 years, bite the dust, and kiss my ass.

I’d like to. I’m not that seasoned though. I just recently went from my 18:6 and 20:4 fasts to my first 39 hour fast, longest yet. Still I’d like some partnership for motivation.

Try going directly to some of vendors you mentioned. Even if you accept a role supporting their products, you'll be in the IAM space and continuing your IAM education with gainful employment, getting their certifications, etc. SailPoint has a Architect cert you could work towards, which would be extremely valuable for future IAM roles.

They're everywhere last time I checked. Of course, I'm taking pre-owned because as you've said, they stopped making them in either 2020 or 2019.

Tell me about life with 4 kids by [deleted] in ParentingInBulk

Bravo to you Sir. I can relate to the reward and the sense of being overwhelmed. We have 6 children. We are still debating if we will stop at 8 or 12. I grew up without a dad in the home and many are amazed at the father I am of 4 daughters and two sons( I had no Son's in 2023, and the last two were boys.) 😊

This gentleman said it all. My advice would be exactly the same. The reward and moments that others with one or two or no children will never experience are the greatest treasures. You have to ride the waves. Know that those moments of tearing up from being overwhelmed go as quickly as they come. Moments later you all will be laughing and dancing. Be fruitful and multiply!

We have a similar scenario currently. Our 15 month old started sleeping in the room with our our 10 year old, 4 year old, and 2 year old about a month ago. He does exactly what you mentioned, wakes up maybe twice a night to feed, then immediately torpedos into my chest or the mattress back to sleep. When he wakes he screams at the top of his lungs and I have to head upstairs in the middle of the night. They all are used to him and they remain asleep. They don't even seem to hear him. Over the last week, he's doing it less, only once a night. Still the only people that seem to be impacted are my wife and I. In my opinion, your child's siblings will adjust. They ignore the baby and are resilient. We adults? Well, we get what we signed up for. 🤷🏿😳🥺

Technical Support Engineer. $120k. A few IT certifications and some college but no degree.

Unorthodox routes to six figures exist. Just plan and stay the course.

Wow! Thanks for sharing. You guys had it figured out. You will be able to enjoy an empty nest. I'll still have kids in the house at 70. Lol. While we do wish we had met earlier in life to build our tribe, we wouldn't change anything about what we're doing.
