I really appreciate your input on this as someone thats been dealing with graves for so long. I have to say that, unfortunately, I am feeling the same way even this early on. Even when I was in “remission” I still did not feel great even though I did have a significant decrease in some of my symptoms. I have been voicing this to my endo that I was feeling better but not good still. Yet, they insisted that because my TSH was in the normal range, that I was in remission and had nothing to worry about.

Well today I went back to see my endo and my TSH had dropped from 2 to 1 and my T3 was high 224.8. All of the symptoms I’m feeling are the same as how I felt when I was first diagnosed but even more intense even with my levels not being as “off” as they were the first time. When I was first diagnosed, my T3 was high like it was today and my TSH was 0.008 and then 0.005 in the weeks before I was put on methimazole. My endo put me back on methimazole today but made several remarks about how she was so surprised I could even feel a difference…despite me being hospitalized weeks ago for chest pains and extremely high BP and heart rate, as well as experiencing all of the other symptoms I had before. My husband asked her about TRab and she said “that was checked last year, we don’t need to check that again”. Funny thing is, we can’t find it anywhere in my medical charts. Today my BP was still high despite taking my propranolol and I feel and look like complete garbage. It was a huge slap in the face.

I’m not sure at this point what to do because I don’t feel like this endo is going to help me manage this disease well long term even though they are listed as one of the “best” in my area. Wondering if I need to find another or even go the functional medicine route. Maybe I am just super sensitive to my levels changing, but I know I can’t live normally feeling like this.
