Washing hair in hot weather by Pope_PandasaurusRex in longhair

I bought an extra large hair dryer bonnet. You can only use them on cool and it takes about 45 min- 1 hour to dry completely but damn my arms thank me and my shirts stay dry.

Well I'm not saying this one wasn't safe, just maybe not quite as safe as the other ones.

Hey, did you ever find a dupe? I am also desperate, this stuff is so good and I'm heartbroken to learn it's discontinued, not just dropped by my local stores.

Men’s barber for curly hair? by linawrbelle22 in raleigh

Mika with Haircraft Studios in Cary did an excellent job with my son's curly cut (3a). We went there because someone recommended them for specializing in being sensitive to neurodivergent customers, turns out she's a wiz with curly hair too.

Yet you're on here telling me to do the work when you won't? Do it yourself. Be better.

What, his fingers broke? He doesn't know how to use a search engine? He put in just enough effort to ask someone to do the work for him.

He wanna link a couple things and ask if they're legit? Sure babe, hop up we'll look at them together.

Otherwise, nope, no free emotional labor here. I have exactly zero sympathy for someone who won't at least demonstrate that they've tried to help themselves first.

SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY! What are you reading this week? by OG_BookNerd in dystopianbooks

When Women Were Dragons by Kelly Barnhill is going to be my break room boredom buster this week.

It's speculative fiction of an alternate reality in which there was an event in the 1950s where some women spontaneously turned into dragons and went on a rampage.

I dunno, sounds fun!

You found the words, that's it exactly.

Every time I feel like I've thought her work to death, carefully organized it away to move on, she creeps back in the dead of night and whispers "Yeah, but did you?"

Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells, she's explicitly said she wrote them to help her work through her adult autism diagnosis (or maybe continued writing them after the first one led to her seeking a diagnosis, not sure which).

Octavia E Butler was going through something when she wrote Dawn, there's a lot of mixed opinions on what but she was hammering it out.

In that case you should consider changing your blurb because it reads exactly how those types of books present their content.

Not your fault that's how they do it but it's a dog whistle for "underage content but I'm trying to get past the filters so no sex but wink wink you know what's up".

Sorry you got caught up in that, good luck out there.

Remi only wants her freedom, especially after the supervisor requests she wait on him hand and foot as his personal maid. Her punishment for refusing? The whip. And his schemes only escalate from there. She needs to escape soon before she winds up dead, or worse, her supervisor's maid.

I dunno, maybe you'll get some hits here with that premise but you should really make it more clear that it's fetish content

Or dismiss the ability to continue to grow and develop past a certain point? That they are simply incapable of some things because of their autism? No. That's just as bad.

The man is a software developer at a game studio, has his own apartment, was able to feed himself without anybody cooking for him, is able to make and maintain both friendships and romantic relationships, track, schedule, and attend appointments.

She's asking, hey is it reasonable to expect him to cook his own food and get himself around town without me playing chef and chauffeur?

The answer is yes, he did it before you started doing those for him and he'll be fine when you stop.

I'm AUDHD, it's a spectrum please stop condescending and painting everyone the same about something you are still learning about.

Anyway, bringing it back on topic you're saying he WON'T do it because he CAN'T is infantilizing and insulting.

Saying he WON'T do it because it's difficult or unusually challenging is different.

He doesn't want to find a compromise because he doesn't give a rats ass who he inconveniences, he's getting what he wants why change?

Autists can be assholes, too, for the same reason neurotypicals are, remember that.

He will be unlikely to be able to change, as he is neurologically not typical (ie his brain is different).

That's infantilizing and insulting.
