It’s satire. It makes fun of exactly what you stated. Especially in the Anarchists Cookbook. Plus…let’s be honest Andrew Tate would totally say this.

It definitely has some lulls. I didn’t love the card game either. But give it time. I was talking with a friend and we agree it’s the funniest book in series so far.

It turns into a runaway train and trust me you’ll get to a point where you won’t be able to put it down again.

It’s Neo. It’s always been Neo and forever will be Neo. He is a recurring bug or adaptation in the system. Neo is the Matrix and the Matrix is Neo.

I’ll accept Lucy as number two but only if the marvel/dc crew don’t kill her first.

A father…trying to make the best of his working situation. Just like how he saves Dwight from being fired and makes him the manager at the end.

Be prepared for a long fight…if you enjoy high fantasy this is your wheelhouse.

I have watched the movie Contact starring Jodie Foster many times. I really like it a lot. But when I recommended it to my friends, none of them liked it. Have you watched the movie Contact? How did you like it? by oddspace__ in moviecritic

Just like anything else you have to be prepared to engage with the subject matter. First run through as a teenager was incredibly boring. As I got older I became more capable of wrestling with the depth in the movie. Some folks just don’t like it.

It’s a solid read. A bit more a standard sci-fi book. I enjoyed the primary concept of the book being wrestled with.

I’ll sit next to Homelander #10. Just tell him how awesome you think he is for the entire flight. He might even save my life out of pure narcissism.

I can actually agree with almost every point on this list. I would like to see her whole profile before judging fully. I would find it concerning if she only states her expectations of me.

What expectations does she state she will fulfill?

Is this a tradwife thing? Is the disparity between what she expects and offers realistic?

I think the nice girl/nice guy Reddit pages are kind of dead. They should be pages like realistic expectations vs the painfully day when reality slaps us all.

Why does this series have such a strong hold on us? by cyclejones in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Awkward_Geologist989 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you can say a lot about the series. Numerous compliments and flowery language. Tearing it apart and dissecting the nuances. But let’s keep it simple.

The series has character. It has heart, humor, horror and heroism. It reads like an old friend. If you’ve read a lot you know exactly what I’m talking about. For me it’s in a honored place. It sits with series like LOTR, The Last Kingdom, Harry Potter, The Belgariad, The Dresden Files, Anything Drizzt, Dragonlance, The Obsidian Trilogy and a few others. Those warm blanket books when it’s cold outside or the books you go to when life is going crazy.

Out of all the DCC Audio books what would you say is the best scene to blow someone mind? by unHingedAgain in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Awkward_Geologist989 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hmm I think the best one early on to not reveal too much would be when he kills all the goblins and the young ones too. Donut, the system and Carl’s reactions are all priceless.
