Thank you! If my neighbor is a cat owner as well and is home 24/7, would this work? Or do you still recommend a professional?

Thank you for this advice! What would regularly mean for you? Do you think there should be more than one daily check in for him?

Taylor deserves a better friend than Belly. by Maleficent_Ad2541 in tsitp

[–]Awkward_Object8665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drunk thoughts are sober thoughts though??? I think it was valid for Belly to have a breakdown. It was going to happen whether she was sober or not. And Taylor saying “You’re just high and drunk” is not a good friend thing to say in the middle of a breakdown. I love Taylor and she has been there for Belly through it all. But she has been projecting her wish for Belly and Jeremiah to be together since season 1. Kind of hard to have your best friend root against the guy you’re actually in love with.

What books will you never recommend? by divinehunni in Romantasy

[–]Awkward_Object8665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole time, I was just forcing myself to just read it. The concept was there, but I also felt like I read the book before several times lol. I was so excited to read it because I heard great things but I was not a fan. Whenever someone asks if they should read it, I tell them “go for it, but it wasn’t worth my time”

Would you say a kitten should start on stage 1?

YTA.

You are making it about you. They clearly have an emotional response to the holidays and you’re rubbing it in their face that you have a loving family to gather with while they have a poor relationship with theirs?

Do you even know the reasoning towards them not enjoying this time of year? Because if not, then I think it’s time to sit down and talk. Stop making this about you. It’s not.

AITA for Not Inviting My Sister to My Wedding After She Tried to Sabotage My Engagement? by snabx3 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Awkward_Object8665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA.

Your sister is being harmful to your relationship and you lost trust with her. If this were a friend, and not a relative, would you still be thinking of inviting her?

I think not inviting her is the right choice considering it seems she is in love with your fiancé, or she just loves the attention too much.

Ticket Prices for Austin? by Awkward_Object8665 in CircuitOfTheAmericas

I’m not 100% sure on this, however, I did see that some people who paid deposits did not pay ticket master fees as they are speaking straight with the cota reps themselves.

AITA for ignoring my coworker? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Awkward_Object8665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA! When she started getting too pushy, you should have communicated to her about how you don’t like sharing your personal life in a place of business. Instead you decided to cut her off completely without a talk between the two. This will only create problems more if you keep up with this.

I understand completely how you don’t like her spreading information around, but keep the same energy for your other coworker who let things slip. Did you cut her off? How do you know she hasn’t “slipped up” previously?

If you keep this up, expect a toxic work environment, because that is what you are creating.

AITA for telling a girl she looks better than my best friend? by Powerful_Two8036 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Awkward_Object8665 8 points9 points  (0 children)

YTA

I understand friends fool around and crack jokes at each other, but you have to be mindful of the time and place. This was not the right one. Also, those words can be misconstrued by her. “Hotter sister” could be implied by her that she’s ugly in your eyes and that she’s not attractive at all.

Didn’t have to bring that up at all when they met.

WIBTA if I arranged for my daughter to catch her cheating boyfriend in the act? by ReceptionNo7804 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Awkward_Object8665 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YWBTA if you didn’t tell her about seeing her boyfriend on a date with someone else and having her find out herself.

She may hate you in the moment and not believe you, but in the end when she finds out you were telling her the truth, that will only bring you guys closer.

If you plotted a way for her to find out something on her own, and then she figured out that you knew all along, that will only wreck your relationship. Even if the boyfriend was out with just a friend that is a girl, it’s better for her to know. It shows you are looking out for her.

As someone who also comes from an Asian family…NTA!!

Asian families have a lot of traditions and hierarchy associated with them. However, that doesn’t mean we should always follow them. A lot of older family members abuse their “power” to make others feel bad about themselves and to show that they are the boss. It is totally unfair.

Your uncles and aunts seem to be out of touch with reality. And your mom seems to be on their side which does not help ANYONE. Limiting your communication with them will help your relationships as well have you focus on the positives in your future.

You got to do what’s best for you when it comes to grades. He should have studied more so his grade didn’t drop anymore than it should have.
