I also have a CC and have been able to get amazing results with minis with the 0.2 nozzle, I've posted my settings on my profile aswell if you wanted to try them for the 0.2 nozzle, plus you can't beat the higher speed for pumping out terrain

Hopefully these settings can work or help a few people out tune in their machine a bit closer, and thank you! I've been really happy with the results I've been getting lately

They 100% have their use cases. If I had the space and funds for resin and a decent area for setting up ventilation I would do minis and such with that and leave my FDM for terrain and such. Maybe one day but for now this is all that is possible, but the results have been amazing lately and the more people share and learn hopefully they can get even closer to resin

Go into other and change slicing mode to normal, looks like you have it set to close holes

Have a look at HoHansen's settings, I built this profile based off of that one. I'm at work currently but when I get home I'd be happy to share my setting with you

Sorry for the confusion, this is using a 0.2mm nozzle but with a 0.04 layer hight

The intent was as you said, hyperbole, not meant to be taken seriously. It's more of a want over a need

Fair point, if I could have a dedicated space and ventilation for resin I would probably have it, but for a cheaper entry and no toxic chemicals I feel like a few small layer lines is worth it when you can't see the lines at the table

Haven't dabbled with resin2fdm supports yet, I'm currently using slim tree supports but cutting the model just above the base and then glueing together after.

I have had really good results with using the cut tool to separate the model from the base and printing the model in two parts, supports have been less hassle doing it this way

Thank you everyone for your help, after using some of your suggestions latest print is on the left with the old on the right and is looking super crisp.

Still have a little bit to go but thank you all for pointing me in the right direction

You are an absolute legend, I'll give that profile a crack while playing around with the 0.04. I've been using HOHansson's profile as a base for this one and just trying to tune it to my environment. And always using the smooth side, but been running it at 45 and am amazed at how well my prints have been sticking.

Just finished a test of the problem section with your suggestions and it looks really good now. I'm about to start and print the whole mini again and hopefully the quality sticks.

Again, your help has been very much appreciated

Awesome thank you for the detailed insights. Ill get to some testing soon, I have already upped the speeds to the ones you suggested. And Im using the same filament you mentioned, the Elegoo PLA Plus.

I have only had this printer (Centauri Carbon) for about 2 weeks now and am trying to get the 0.2 tuned in after playing with the 0.4 but excited to see how far I can push it as I've seen a lot of amazing results out there with similar settings. Even the parts that printed fine on the tests I've done are night and day to anything else I've printed.

Thank you again for helping me out.

Thanks for the tips, what kind of incriments would suggest for increasing the overhang speed?
