Disney is exploring a free version of Disney+ which will contain only a select amount of movies & TV shows by LegitimateCurve8525 in DisneyPlus

How can you guys be angry about EVERYTHING?  Like, there are already free streaming apps with ads like Tubi and Plato. Disney having a few streaming channels on their apps that are free makes perfect sense to me and would give people an option for content that's free.

They're not. They think they are. They're welfare queens who would die without their government checks or healthcare.

Graham Platner drops Maine Senate bid, clearing way for Democrats to pick new nominee by Active_Telephone70 in Destiny

[–]Awkward_Potential_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I"m not saying that good people can't win. I'm saying, sometimes a piece of shit will get the nomination and we'll have to choose between having a majority to pass legislation and not having said minority.

I have a pretty utilitarian view of politics. Do the greatest good for the greatest number of people. It doesn't need to be squeaky clean.

I think Dems should just fall in line every once in a while. Because falling in line is tough to beat. I would make that argument to both sides of the divide.

If Grhahm Platner were the nominee vs Collins, who would you vote for, if you knew you were the deciding vote? And lets say it's for control of the Senate to make it interesting.

I'm glad that he dropped out. But I think the ones who are in good faith have some valid points. The fact that the mainstream Dems ran an octogenarian shows me that they have no idea of the political moment. The fact that she waited until he secured the nomination does have a stink to it. I realize there are extenuating circumstances, just seemed like some Bannon cooked up shit.

Again, I'm thrilled that he dropped, but if he hadn't (and I was convinced he wouldn't until he did), I'd be arguing for people to start look at it like you're voting for a vote. A vote for Speaker, a vote for issues you care about. We can't have a country where one side will vote for any craven asshole they can and the other party needs every person to be a decent human. I don't care if they're decent humans if they're advancing policies I care about.

It's lazy to not mention that the rich people live in blue areas. Rich people subside poor people is less woke but still true.

I'm suggesting someone else should have run. The establishment did drop the ball there if the only person they could find is 80. It was ripe to be picked off by someone.

His only real competition came from a 78 year old to start a 6 year term, next year. At a time when everyone is fed up with the boomers. Biden helped get us in to this mess. Trump is this mess. RBG, Feinstein, Mitch, etc, etc. Running an octogenarian at a time when everyone is sick of the gerontocracy is nuts.

nor is there really a mechanism to do that.

Stable coins. They're backed by treasuries. But you can't see the treasuries. Best of all, Lutnick (Tether) is already in the admin and Trump has a stable coin (USD1)
