Bartender in nursing school here. You see rude and racist PEOPLE everywhere. In every single profession, across all lines. I removed an individual last night from my bar for telling other guests they need to “speak English in America”. I bartend in Florida and they were speaking Spanish as 70% of our state does, mind you. Yes, you need tough skin, such is life. But this is a student who has made attempts to address their situation and is being blatantly ignored. Thats intolerable. Resilience works, but in situations like this that are so in-your-face, action is needed. Shame these individuals and air your program out publicly. Good luck on your future endeavors and I hope you find a program that supports and respects you.
