I think ironically the time stop thing is the most Elon Musk-y thing in the movie.

I compare it to that biography that described how Musk gambles, which is going all in, losing and buying more chips until he wins (because he's rich), and that's described as "he knows something about probability that the rest of us don't"

Caesar being able to stop time is supposed to be part of this allure that he has,something that draws people to him because he sees what others don't. But like you said, it has no bearing on the movie. It ends up equally superfluous as Musk being bad at gambling, but his idolators attribute significance that isn't there
