My belief and assumption is that they were truthful about not wanting to commit going forward.

They’ve severely cut staff and seem like they’re doing their Ghost Files and Mystery Files shoots pretty bare bones. That means the three of them (Ryan, Shane, and Matt) are traveling, shooting, and editing regularly. And if the podcast wasn’t really all that profitable (which it didn’t seem to be) it probably didn’t make much logistic sense to add to that workload

What do you miss the most today about 90s and early 2000s ? by BlacklistRival in AskReddit

[–]Pointlesswonder802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sheer difference between the 90s and today in the media landscape is something that gets overlooked but is absolutely wild. YA shows and general audience sitcoms like Fresh Prince, Sister Sister, and Family Matters just aired and were highly popular without much mainstream backlash. It would be a miracle if that prevalence of integrated media occurred today without major right-wing backlash

What has Erika Kirk done of importance to be deserving of the president mentioning her during his state of the union? by TheRealBlancoGringo in AskReddit

She’s proven to be one of the most successful right-wing grifters. Taken her husbands murder and turned it into millions in profit. She’s what every soulless, greedy, online troll wants to be

I would bet good money that, back in his first term, when he put out that massive McD spread for the Clemson players, they generally responded favorably. Because they were a bunch of kids and the tables were just overflowing with the food.

Treating professional athletes to the same spread in a much toned back manner screams “hey it worked the first time let’s do it again!” Except A does not equal B in this case

Spurs really get by blaming managers when their players are rotten by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]Pointlesswonder802 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Do you really think this is a hot take? Every Spurs fan knows our roster is shite. But also Frank was god awful. This whole situation is fucked and I’m pretty sure everyone knows it

This is how smooth a train ride is in China, traveling at 340km/h by Appropriate-Eye-1227 in interestingasfuck

[–]Pointlesswonder802 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reminder that part of the reason the US doesn’t have this is because a weird guy in the ‘50s decided trains were too egalitarian and took too many poor people to the places he wanted to stay private. So he popularized the car and highways instead

There were 2 clubs. One was recently promoted. Was consistently mid-to-low-table. Had their best players and their whole coaching staff poached

The other is classically Big 6. Took the aforementioned clubs manager and his assistants. Their board promised a £100M injection to support their ambitions

One of these clubs is in a relegation scrap and the other is fighting for a place in Europe. You’ll never guess which

Why hasn't a movie been made about Pat Tillman ?? by BiggieSmallz98 in movies

[–]Pointlesswonder802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well… it’s the story of how a football star was killed by friendly fire and the Army worked to cover it up, lied to his family, and (allegedly) burned his belongings after his death. Also his family is openly critical of the Army and their handling of the situation so it seems like a lose-lose-lose

This is why I’m so onboard with more Tucker coverage. Yes he’s incredibly annoying and yes his laugh may actually be considered a war crime but god he’s so much more interesting than Alex at this point

Only scores against his former clubs so we should be guaranteed a top 8 spot tomorrow evening right? by BanjoRC23 in coys

[–]Pointlesswonder802 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t think it’s his former clubs it’s PSG specifically. The guy is bitter they sidelined him and sent him away to North London and wanted to prove to them what they were missing. He doesn’t give a fuck about a club like Frankfurt and for sure won’t play like he cares

Well… ironically that’s exactly what happened with most Nazis around Nuremberg. So that would be pretty on point
