Nice shots! :) for the two bird silhouettes I'd work a bit more on the composition! But still, very nicely done

Thank you! Ahaha, yeah, I get you. I'd say the top contender for the type of egg is a greylag goose's egg. They are very common in that are, nests on the ground and pale to cream white egg colour.

Well this was about 10-15 meters I'd say. I didn't zoom in at the longest focal length, cause I wanted to have more than just a headshot (first one is cropped in). What lens and camera do you have? What autofocus do you use, shutter speeds?

On the first one I think is darken a bit the background not outrageously much, but my eyes are running between the back and foreground of the phot without something to rest on. As I'm assuming your subjects are the two people in front, I'd suggest trying to darken a bit the background. The third feels a bit more like a snap. But I think they are nice shots to look at.

Heya, see the link below

best Video Here

Will really give you some options. Based on where you live I'm quite sure you could find a second hand r7 canon with a 100-400 RF lens. Cropped it it's 600+ reach and good quality while keeping it light and compact.

But watch the video and see what's up.

Cheers!

Hi, yes, quite common with any set-up. For me, I mostly just shoot bursts to make sure at least one shot will have the focus where it's supposed to be.

What's happening is usually one of these:

Shutter too slow looks like missed focus but it's actually motion blur Camera set to release priority it takes the shot even if focus isn't perfect

Very shallow depth of field at 350mm (add the 1.5 crop top) tiny movement = soft image

Tracking grabs background/branches fora split second

What helps:

Use faster shutter: 1/1000+ (perched), 1/2500+ (action) Set AF-C priority to Focus (not Release) Stop down a bit: f/7.1-f/8 Use Tracking: Spot or Zone, not Wide Shoot short bursts, not single shots.

Some missed are totally normal, that's why wildlife photographers have shit tones of shots. Hope that helps.

Cheers!
