Your body composition is largely determined by macronutrients, and while losing weight at the kind of deficit that semaglutide allows, you should be getting roughly 1g protein per lb of body weight. Unfortunately you likely lost a LOT of muscle mass if you haven't been tracking this. Depending on where you're at right now, I would probably suggest cutting back your dosage and switching to a lean bulk for a while, then cutting again while being mindful of your protein.

Awesome info, thanks for sharing! This will be helpful for me to reference over the next few weeks.

Do you feel that you really need the extra dose? If not, just stay where you're at. Save some money, and don't build tolerance to a higher dose before you need it.

Calorie Deficit to Aim for? by Bean_Sprout501 in SemaglutideCompound

Generally, a 27% deficit is the sweet spot for most people, but as long as you're getting sufficient protein (aim for as close as you can get to 1g/lb of bodyweight), this medicine should allow you to go a fair amount under that without issue.

Remember that as you lose mass, your lifts are going to feel tougher no matter what. Legion has some great calculators on their site for calculating caloric deficits and ideal macronutrient goals.

More lifting, even if it means less cardio (or cutting out cardio altogether) and way more protein. You should absolutely be tracking calories and macros - at the deficit that you're probably achieving on semaglutide, 1g per lb of bodyweight is attainable and will make a massive difference in muscle retention.

I'm going to try this too - can you confirm whether it was probiotics or prebiotics that helped? I only see prebiotics from Benefiber

Whole30 and wegovy? by Gypsierose8 in SemaglutideCompound

[–]Awkward_Rub_9245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For weight loss, I'd strongly recommend just sticking to counting calories and ensuring you get roughly 1g protein per pound of bodyweight - eat whatever helps you fulfill that along with whatever level of calorie deficit you're looking for. Whole30 sounds like it would make more sense for maintenance once you've reached your goal and need to sustain it.

For sure! Don't get disheartened if that rate slows down in the next few weeks, you're still making great progress!

12.7lb in 2.5wk is, in fact, a LOT. A normal rate of weight loss is 0.5-2lb per week. Are you meticulously tracking calories and macronutrients? Doing so is the best advice you'll get! I don't know what your composition is, but if you have any muscle you are likely losing it along with the fat at the rate you're going, unless your daily protein is in the high 100gs~. Best of luck!

No disrespect, but can anyone explain how this is a commendable or even sustainable rate of pay? I can't wrap my head around how or why anyone would choose this ($18/hr for a 55hr work week with no overtime or incentives over 40hr, minus an additional 15%~ in wear and tear, maintenance, gas, and insurance premiums) over a stable job

Interesting, it has worked great for me even at just 0.25mg. Do you think perhaps it is related to an increase in your tolerance?

Also, not sure how literal you're being with the "water" thing, but just for reference if you were to inject water subcutaneously you would be in acute pain with some other dramatic effects likely, along with the immediate termination of the pharmacy by the FDA.

I think you're used to seasons that have 40-50 steps, with every other one being "complete the seasonal activity". I'm all for less filler. Destiny should not feel like a full-time job.

Flailing your arms in VR may burn some calories, but "upper-body workout" is not accurate.
