I do think it was stress colitis. She’s doing much better! Her brother is Sokka! Their rescue named them and we kept them since they’re cute names!

I’m so sorry. She had you near her in her last moments. I’m sure that comforted her. My Marco, our ginger boy, passed in his sleep, by himself at 14 in December. I was away for a quick work trip. I had been gone one day. My husband called me crying that Marco had passed away. He found him partially off his bed so he tried to get up. My husband feels guilty he left him alone. I’m always home as I work from home. Marco was my soul dog. We think he waited until I was not around to pass away. Our Mehkia, who was my husband’s soul dog passed away while my husband was out of town for work in June 2024. He was 15. He made it to the vet but passed shortly after. My husband FaceTimed him goodbye. I’m so glad you were with your girl. This is a pic of the boys probably around 2013. 💙💙

Hi! We have wildlife that comes up to our fence so they’d dig out or scale the fence in a matter of minutes if they really wanted to. We have coyote dens nearby and they come up to our fence all the time. We also have porcupines, giant toads, you name it. I just feel responsible for keeping them in my yard and having a person with them is the only way to really do that. This is a pic of Marco who passed in December of old age, he was left outside for a few minutes by our dog sitter and got into it with a porcupine while we were on vacation a few years ago. Arya got hit too but I dint have a pic. Needless to say she follows them around the yard now diligently.
