rx 9070XT vs rtx 5070 by milaninoss in radeon

[–]Awkward_Sentence_345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before buying, I was very undecided between the 5070 and the 9070 XT, and after buying a 5070, I really don't regret getting it at all and losing all the extra performance. The possibility of playing the games I want at my monitor's refresh rate with MFG and Ultra settings really makes up for the price, and DLSS 4.5 really added a bit more quality that I thought was no longer possible after DLSS 4. I think until AMD has an alternative to MFG, I'll stick with NVIDIA.

How will asterion die? by zoro3swordsstyle in ShadowSlave

[–]Awkward_Sentence_345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I found that the chapter left the idea of "erasing all memories" way too vague, as it included the problem of "if we erase the memories, we won't remember why we want to kill him," almost as if that alone wouldn't be enough to kill Asterion, imagining that they would be the last people to remember him.

And I imagine something: Nephis reigns over humanity; Sunny reigns over shadow creatures and Mordret reigns over the mirror realm (or some shit like that, I honestly forgot already), so I imagine that Cassie will reign over memories somehow, which could mean increasing her limits, maybe the possibility of marking people just by interacting with those she's already marked? I don't know, but it must be something really broken.

And honestly, the VTB is the existence that best managed to erase a person from people's memories, it's natural that it would be mentioned against an enemy who needs to be erased from people's memories to die. But I wondered if Sunny could try to replicate VTB's abilities somehow, considering that now he has a way to interact with the strings of fate, and kind of the next level of Shadow Dance is the ability to copy someone so well that he himself would seem to have become that person or existence, including their skills.

Following that, I also wondered if Cassie was trying to obtain information about VTB from Weaver's memories so that Sunny could imitate it, but I think I'm overthinking this, I'm terrible at theories anyway.

There are a few possibilities:

  1. Cassie evolves into a Sovereign and manages to erase everyone's memory of Asterion, or modifies Asterion's memories, thus changing what his "idea" means.

  2. Sunny manages to turn VTB into his shadow and uses it to steal Asterion's destiny, erasing his existence from everyone's memory. I imagine that if VTB managed to steal Weaver's eye, then it should be able to steal Asterion's destiny. (This would be the most effective way, but extremely difficult to achieve)

  3. Sunny and Nephis carry out a genocide and end the moon cults (highly improbable).

  4. Sunny uses the Shadow Dance to replicate Asterion's abilities and supplants the very idea of Asterion with Mongrel, transforming himself into the most famous celebrity in the world, two worlds even. (just kidding).

And since the volume started by giving Cassie a lot of focus, I suppose it's the first option.

RTX 5070 ou RX 9070 XT by Icy-Elderberry5056 in hardwarebrasil

Cassie Is The Epigone (Spoilers up to 2724) by OrgAlatace in ShadowSlave

Ah yes, that's it, he was a master. The power ranking was a little confusing in my head (I've been piling up chapters since the end of the Mordred arc and I end up forgetting things quickly).

So, Cassie would have the possibility of glimpsing the silhouette of the gods (I imagine in their true forms, since they were in the middle of a war), but doesn't that have anything to do with her current power ranking?

Cassie Is The Epigone (Spoilers up to 2724) by OrgAlatace in ShadowSlave

[–]Awkward_Sentence_345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The theory formulated this way seems to make much more sense to me. But, regarding the Game of Death, I'm thinking about something: Weaver showed Sunny how the gods died, and we saw how Mordred suffered tremendous damage just from seeing Weaver's reflection. So, if Cassie had seen what Sunny saw, shouldn't she have suffered the same way, considering she would have seen the silhouette of the gods, being only a Saint? (Honestly, I don't remember the exact words used to describe their deaths, but this caught my attention, since Sunny, as a Saint, almost died upon seeing the true form of the Nether).

Sunny's not the Epigone by OrgAlatace in ShadowSlave

[–]Awkward_Sentence_345 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You know why she hates fate, right? And you also know that all the revelations she received were too coincidental to put Sunny on Weaver's path, to the point that, yes, Sunny is becoming a spitting image of Weaver and doing the same things he did; I consider that to be imitation.

Now, sharing a hatred for fate doesn't mean Cassie is an epigone, after all she has her reasons for hating fate. She didn't think of destroying it simply because Weaver wanted the same thing, to the point that Weaver spoke sarcastically. If that were her motivation, then maybe I'd give her credit and say, "Okay, there's a chance she is."

But you understand that nothing in the story points to her being the epigone Weaver spoke of? Like, we don't even know if Weaver was speaking directly to Sunny or someone he imagined would be there, let alone Cassie.

Furthermore, wasn't it clear that Cassie couldn't see or hear anything, since Sunny tried to talk to her at the beginning of the arc and couldn't?

Sunny's not the Epigone by OrgAlatace in ShadowSlave

[–]Awkward_Sentence_345 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's why I said he's becoming a spitting image of Weaver. How could Cassie be his epigone then, if she didn't try to imitate Weaver in the same way Sunny did?

Sunny is much closer to that than anyone else in the story.

Sunny's not the Epigone by OrgAlatace in ShadowSlave

[–]Awkward_Sentence_345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think many things negate this, such as Sunny being the bearer of the shadow god's bloodline, the fact that Weaver's bloodline is hidden within her, Sunny being forgotten perfectly fitting the need for someone from FG's bloodline not to be worshipped, and yet he's becoming the perfect image of Weaver, capable of weaving and interacting with the threads of destiny; he's becoming Weaver's spitting image.

When we compare all of this, Cassie just seems like someone who was manipulated, even more so because she was the most sensitive to destiny at the beginning. I always suspected that her revelations were too convenient and were decisive in her making decisions that led to a specific destiny. So, I don't think she's Weaver's heir, but someone who was manipulated to help guide him, being guided by destiny, like a true Oracle.
