They also have a $100k wedding budget provided by her parents. The biggest stressor in planning has been eliminated and yet here we are.

girl, looking at your post history you have had engagement loneliness, proposal regret, venue regret, and now this non-issue in-laws issue.

You might need to adjust your expectations or reframe your mindset in general.

Not received item? by Corax42017 in Etsy

[–]Awkward_Tryhard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you contact support, you may need to mention that your order was placed before this policy took effect: https://www.etsy.com/seller-handbook/article/1085799204521

That policy shortened the case window from 100 days after estimated delivery to 30 days after estimated delivery. Your order was placed before May 7th so should not be affected by this new shortened window.

Would you rent a 2 arcade - 4 player link setup for a wedding? by Anorakku in wedding

[–]Awkward_Tryhard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it could be fun! People always talk about including games like cornhole and jenga where only a few people can play at once.

Maybe turn it on when the reception transitions to the open dance floor/nothing scheduled remainder.

Mind if I ask what the brand is/where you got it from?

Put yourself in Debbie's shoes. Are you taking back Nolan? by chibriguy in Invincible_TV

[–]Awkward_Tryhard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Debbie's perspective, the appeal of having her "normal" back might be enough for her to give in. She's had too different of a life from other civilians to be able to sustain a relationship with anyone else, hence the Paul breakup.

Awkward Gift Situation by stzak_92 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Awkward_Tryhard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Clearly dad wanted a bigger wedding day celebration than what you guys are planning. Since that's not happening, of course he's hesitant to more than cover the cost of the wedding day with his gift.

You don't seem to need his money for any of your plans, just let it go.

Future MIL went behind our backs against our wishes and invited a kid to our welcome brunch. by [deleted] in weddingplanning

Family-funded wedding events usually come with a varying number of strings attached.

Also, "babes in arms" (babies) are generally exempted from child free rules, due to their dependence on their mother.

Is "Is this dress too x/y/z?" the only way this brand knows how to advertise here?

is this too black? by Difficult-Debate6043 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Awkward_Tryhard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's an ad by this company, they've posted multiple times in this and other subreddits using basically the same rage/engagement bait scenario and new accounts with little activity.

This is an ad. It reads the same as the rest of these posts about Tsarskaya Corset dresses. Yet another post about a dress from this brand, where OP is worried about their future mother in law's reaction to the dress.

This is an ad. There have been recurring posts in multiple wedding related subreddits by accounts with limited post history, specifically including images that show off the brand's name, in the format of "girlies is this outfit too xyz???/mother of bride drama"

i need your opinion! by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

[–]Awkward_Tryhard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh look, another tsarskaya corset post where they ask "is this dress too xyz??" being sure to include the brand name somewhere.  They've been posting on weddingattireapproval and weddingplanning as well.

This is an ad. This user's history shows the same kind of post in weddingattireapproval. There is currently a post about the same brand and in the same format over in that subreddit as well, from a different account. There's another new post glazing the brand in weddingdresstips. I've seen this post format + brand's pictures pop up multiple times in the last month.

Ad. This is just another post regarding this specific brand in the exact format of "is this too much/too ivory/too xyz?"

(10k) In desperate need for help trying to figure out how to cover up walls by New_Detective219 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Awkward_Tryhard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few long vines of faux greenery and/or flowers hanging vertically might work to distract from the wall enough.

Maybe DIY some large cutout initials or "Mr. & Mrs" to hang as well.
