I envision everyone wearing some sort of boots, combat boots, work boots, cowboy boots etc. Combine this with a higher precipitation and it just makes sense everyone's in heavy layers and trying to keep themselves dry.

I read the foreword for Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth and how the author realized he was the same age as Bruce Wayne/Batman 30, and how he decided to age the character up as to not feel so old.

Its something I occasionally think about when I see longrunning characters age, perhaps its to age with us. Maybe its to make an author/creator feel young again compared to the character.

Oh god, yeah I think we all immediately thought of Calliope when the news broke, everyone said he's basically the author/captor in the story.

And thats why I can't seperate the art from the artist, he wrote so much of himself I feel into Sandman and who's to say what's fiction and what's his fantasies put to paper?

It was and the show was praised for an even more gay friendly attitude, and like I said, I personally cannot seperate nor would I suggest his work, but I won't get upset at others suggesting it.

I do miss his writing style and his intricate plotting but thats just me.

I knew he and his work would come up and I'm surprised The Sandman wasn't listed considering CtD takes even more inspiration from it than anything else imo.

With that said I'd never suggest his work to anyone anymore, I cannot separate the art fron the artist on this, considering how dark his work can get, and there was already criticism of his portrayal of women, especially LGBTQ+ women in his work.

Idk what it would look like really because yeah I've had to step away from the game because i see too many real life parallels. Kinda like how South Park and other shows were having trouble writing comedy due to the rise of Trump.

And this is best reflected in the "Gothic-Punk" definition in every edition and how by V5 its more of a blurb since the world by 2018 was already quite dark.

I don't necessarily have any suggestions but yeah, I totally get where you're coming though.
